I don't get all this five games clap trap. He's had over three years now, not five games. And he can never settle on a formation or set of tactics that will work. He buys players in the summer and then changes mid season.

He then tries to force players into positions because he doesn't have a player suitable for his new formation. It's ridiculous.
This is why I have finally been broken by Brendan.

I was looking forward to this season and in less than five games have had enough already and agree with the bit above we will never win the League or a European trophy with him in charge.

Personally, I loved us under him in 13/14. It wasn't all down to Suarez it was a brilliant set up by Rodgers that came together brilliantly. But ever since that summer when Suarez left he's been totally without a plan.

I'd love to blame the rubbish of last year all on Mario, but let's be honest here, it was far more than just having one bad egg. That squad of players should have done much more than it did. Sending a B team away to Real and accepting defeat prior to Chelsea was also ridiculous.

I used to scream blue murder when a team in the premier league down the bottom sent out a reserve side away to Old Trafford. You can see the thinking. The first team would probably get well beaten anyway and it'd do them good to give em a rest.

But it's totally against the whole principle of football, never mind this great club of ours. It was a small time mentality and totally incomprehensible and unacceptable that a club the size of ours should go to a vitally important game and accept a defeat.

I can only imagine what the likes of Ronaldo & co, not to mention the rest of Europe, thought when they saw that team sheet. No wonder we can't attract the cream of Europe. Even Timmy Sherwood wouldn't have done that nonsense.
      Forwards.......

We'll not even win the League Cup never mind the League. His teams just collapse when the pressures on. And I'm with you, five games in and it's back to reality. It normally takes me until Xmas before I accept the seasons done with.

            Well that's ridiculous tbh.

I don't want to lose Brendan. I like him. But he's not good enough and he's not going to win us trophies so sorry Rodgers, but time to go.

Rodgers isn't good enough to win us anything. If he stays in charge this season we will achieve nothing. The quicker we get a new manager in the better chance we have of having a decent season. The only way it's going to happen quickly is if we lose games.

I know exactly what is going to happen. We will keep getting just enough results to keep his head above the water but not enough to stop the general malaise. I think this season will drift away to nothing and in the summer he will get the sack.

Now I don't know about all you lot, but I really can't be bothered waiting for the inevitable. If I was given the choice of us losing the next three games and him getting the sack I'd take that right now. I wouldn't even have to think about it.

Because I'd rather suffer for three games than a whole season.

Everyone is back on the bandwagon - I forgot about this quote from his time at Swansea and just saw it again on Twitter:

“It is great for the public here at Sunderland to see us,” said manager Brendan Rodgers. “They must have been wondering what this team everyone is talking about are all about and now they have seen. We were wonderful.

                Swansea lost 2 nil!!!

Whilst I don't want Rodgers to be our manager anymore, it's pretty ****ing boring reading all the juvenile ****e about his teeth or what he says or his 'bird' or whatever

Yes. People don't want him here anymore, but is there any chance all the petty jibes can cease?
I saw a dead fish on the pavement and thought "what did you expect?"
There's no water round here stupid, should have stayed where it was wet

My opinion of him is well documented, but I do think I've never commented in that vain, and I do agree, nasty snipes like that are not needed.
                    * The above is posted in my opinion. Feel free to disagree.

Really odd choice of words. It makes it look as if Madrid or Barcelona are making a push for Rodgers and we are trying our best to hang on to him.

Maybe it means that FSG have realized that they have committed a blunder by backing Rodgers to the tune of 70 million in the summer and are desperate for Rodgers to prove them right. Still an odd choice of words.

Liverpool are ranked 55th, languishing just a place above PAOK of Greece. Interestingly, Chelsea sit in 4th position, Arsenal (7), Manchester City (17), Manchester United (20) and Tottenham Hotspur (24).
