I stand by what I have said. If liverpool are 6th or lower at Christmas, he will be fired.

Rodgers will not be able to argue he hasnt had enough time to create a new team. 17 Months is enough for anyone.

I believe he will be given until Christmas in order to have a fair crack at the whip. What the owners do not want to do is to convey the feeling that they are trigger happy.

Jacques Brel is alive and well and playing at Anfield

Not much point in firing him really if they are too afraid of strong characters coming into the club and telling all those who are **** at their jobs that they are **** at their jobs and should **** off.

Well what LFC have now is loads of different tools. Loads of tools but no plan. Brendan is like the guy in the IKEA instruction manuals scratching his head.
brendan loves to be seen as the second coming of the man who invented football, but with a brent-like soundbite for every occasion.

he seems to love to overcomplicate things so he is then seen as the tactical genius.

he loves to take a player and morph him into something different so if it pays off or flukes a result he can claim to be the one who moulded the guy.

brendan seems much more likely to say to a player "here's what i want you to do"

a proper manager will say to a player " go out and show me what you can do"

our players all seem to be holding back from any natural flair, they are whipped into beefless yes men. joe allen clones.

certain players who are at a level above the average and have that super confidence will just shrug it off and still do what they can with less worry. the likes of suarez, sturridge and gerrard were still able to do their own thing. sterling wanted out, no doubt the big dough was a draw, but he seems to have had enough of the chatty man.
removing all the weak links makes us stronger

too many gutless players, no beef or desire. pussies everywhere... sack them all.

IIRC playing a sweeper behind a back 3 was actually quite popular in Serie A in the late 90's / early 2000's

To be fair, you are quite intelligent.

It's the ranting and repetitivity of the most vocal ones here that gets me.

Whatever your view. Make it, make it well, and don't endlessly shove it down everyone's throats.
                  Oh I don't know.

Because some guys paid for writing **** make some assumptions? "If you look at the model they were talking about when they appointed Rodgers"... so Kay is concluding what they think now on his understanding of their thought process 3 1/2 years ago? Nothing like making up minds on the basis of actual evidence... nope that is silly, ****ing ****s can **** off, amiright?

So far 2 names have been mentioned in the press as possible replacements. Ancelotti and Klopp. If that's the sort of shortlist who cares whether they choose the less abrasive character? Isn't like, waiting to see what they actually do, more sensible than standing in judgement on the basis of hearsay?

I could not dig, I dared not rob:
Therefore I lied to please the mob.
Now all my lies are proved untrue
And I must face the men I slew.
What tale shall serve me here among
                    Mine angry and defrauded young?

They dont like forceful personalities but their first choice of DOF was Louis Van Gaal?

                      Does not compute!!!!!

It's not really to do with the article. It's their inability or refusal to deal with the situation. Rodgers should have gone in the summer after last seasons horror show but they decided to keep on the same path. Now I understand that us fans are passionate and speak with our hearts rather than our heads. (Like my statement above).

On the football side they dont seem to show any ambition at all and keeping Rodgers in the job after the money spent and horror show last season shows their high of ambition.

The biggest thing for me is that they have been here for five years yet have not once installed experienced people who are capable of running a club the size of Liverpool.

The whole club stinks of mediocrity from top to bottom.

The man they currently have in charge convinced them to rip up and change their entire planned management structure at his job interview.

Yet they have done so a number of time for the Boston Red Sox.

They also pushed hard to try and get Billy Beane in as their GM at the Red Sox, and Beane is hardly known for having a yes man type personality.
I don't hate people. I just feel better when they aren't around.
