Does the manager think when Daniel plays because of his injury problems he needs support up top or is it because he plays better with a strike partner ?

i think it makes a certain amount of sense to play a 4-2-3-1 with benteke and in theory that way you have a line of 3 players that can look for his knockdowns rather than a single strike partner, not that it has ever worked out that way.

I'd prefer to leave out the whole knockdown tactic. This gives the other team a much easier chance of swarming the player with their defenders, which closes everything off. Much rather have the ball played through the midfield since it would be a shame to ignore flair players like Coutinho, and have 2 strikers running around stupidly and pulling defenders in different directions. Thats what had us scoring plenty before. I hate the whole target big mans head. He's a striker. I want the ball at his feet.

So if we have Sturridge back and playing when fit where does that leave Benteke who we spent so much on.

Surely they will both be up front,so therefore if one is missing Ings just replaces in that position instead of changing the formation again.
