I think the only difference would have been Ferguson would of thrown lovren out the window instead of consistently playing him and calling him outstanding.

Brendan Rodgers is claiming Daniel Sturridge's Injuries last season cost him the Chance to become President of the United States

Of course Sturridge being injured cost us. Is no one getting how in this league, right now, a striker that scores goals changes the whole outlook? A fit Sturridge and we walk a top 4 place. It's that simple.

Brendan should really REALLY just shut the **** up. He is opening himself up to more and more ridicule

I think he's right in one respect, losing Sturridge for pretty much the entire season did harm us for CL qualification however not being able to manage with the loss of one player however good he may be is down to him. Football is a squad game and you need to be able to do so.

Shut up Bob. You're supposed to jump on absolutely EVERYTHING Rodgers says. Literally anything, it doesn't matter whether or not it makes sense, you take the piss

                          Got it?

                          I'll not tell you again
I saw a dead fish on the pavement and thought "what did you expect?"
There's no water round here stupid, should have stayed where it was wet

Tbf, we'd probably be sitting on top of the league if that happened. The question is, would you be happy if that happened?

It doesn't help that with the loss of Sturridge, we brought in Lambert, Balotelli, and Origi (sent out on loan), as well as spunking our loads on Lallana, Lovren, and paying the maximum price for Markovic.

A better transfer policy would've minimised the effect of not having Sturridge. That's not just on Rodgers, but our horrendously configured transfer committee.

That is one of my issues with Brendan - he doesnt know how to manage such a big squad.

My opinion was the exact same as when we sold Suarez. A small squad nearly won us the premier league title - so instead of spending 20m and more on the likes of Lallana, Lovren, Markovic etc, then we should always go for quality instead. Buy one top player instead of 3 "potentially very good players".

Put it this way, I think if we had a Sanchez or a Pedro in our team instead of all of Markovic, Lallana and Firmino - then we would be in a far better position. (I know people will jump on those examples with comments like "we couldnt get Sanchez because he wanted to live in london" but if we threw the cash it took to pay for the other 3, then i am sure we could have made it happen.
