Counting on Sturridge to stay fit is clearly not possible which is Brendans fault, but of course he missed Sturridge last season. But he also brought in Balotelli, Lambert and Borini so perhaps it's better not to speak too much about this.
    * The above is posted in my opinion. Feel free to disagree.

Yes, I'd like us and him to succeed.

He had Borini, Lambert and Balotelli. 3 players HE signed and he stuck Sterling up front instead

I just popped into here for some reason. Tedious isn't even the word for it.

It reminds of when Hodgson was in charge, and I wasn't comfortable with it then either. And it reminds when players get called a cunt or whatever, because they had a bad game or two.

OK, most people have pretty much come to the end of the line with Rodgers, but a little respect whilst he's still an employee might not go amiss.
              Oh I don't know.

Sterling up front was a good move. The point about Rodgers though, I kind of feel he wasn't really in control of transfer policy.

I thiknk the point is that with 3 fit strikers he had to play Sterling up fron tas none of them where trusted.

I don't think it's fair to say he signed Balotelli. It's seems to be widely believed he wad told it was him or nobody.

But can we try and keep discussion on the manager based on his footballing/managerial style. Rather than making it personal and posting unfunny Memes from Twitter.

Yeah, at the end of the day, the undoing of him has to be the players who've come in to fit a system ill suited to them. It's a shame, as I rate Rodgers as a coach. Rate him quite highly to be honest.

I 100% agree that Sturridge's injuries cost us a sneaky CL spot (or at least getting close) but is that the direction we want to see the club going. You score one goal, we'll score two? And what happens if Sturridge gets injured again?

I'd rather have a functioning defence and midfield that can provide a basis for the strikers rather than relying on them.

Bang! on the money. His man-management is really poor, imo.

Don't think it's his man management but the overall management of resources at his disposal, and the strategy behind it all. Thought he had a blueprint and everything was laid out in black and white in there!

He can still rectify the situation though. I don't want to pile on him just yet as it's still very early in the season. If we do put on a run of say, 4/5 wins on the trot, we'd be challenging for 1st place. The signs are that he's settled down to a system which suits the players at his disposal, so give it a few games and let's see where we are.
