What are you on about.
This thread has been pretty much page after page of people making their feelings of discontent made about Rodgers - nobody has really been called on it bar when it goes on about his appearance or his current girlfriend.
His tenure as the LFC boss is fair game as long as it's actually constructive.

At the minute that's him. I run to see who has the most guts, who can punish himself into exhausting pace, and then at the end, punish himself even more.

I would say it's the opposite, people get up in arms if you have anything remotely positive to say about Rodgers. Kinda makes posting on here a bit **** really, you either have to agree with the majority, or they will hound you until you do.Originally posted by RichC View PostI think in general people are allowed to say what they want on here if its based on the football or results. I've seen nobody getting up in arms when people have slated Rodgers.

We are stuck in a hinterland until he either gets the sack, or we go on a 15 game unbeaten run with a load of wins.
Given the fact the latter is unlikely to occur this conversation will go round and round until he inevitably loses his job. There is no way back once you have lost support to this level - Rodgers will now forever be one or two wins away from the brink.
Im personally surprised at quite how quickly he lost the support - I assumed he must have some kind of strategy leading into this season, but we fell so quickly back into the pattern of last.
...I am not sure I can handle reading a re tread of the last 1000 odd posts until next summer though. The same points being continuously raised by pretty much everyone with fredo/Nigey performing the role of devils advocate to perpetuate the thread.
Its game over for Brendan, be it next week, next month or next summer.Modifying post.

Personally, I'm hoping he invents a whole new system to flummox people - abandons all pretense of understanding defense and adopts a 1-3-2-4 formation (Skrtel being the 1 naturally) or the like."The man who never alters his opinion is like standing water, and breeds reptiles of the mind."

Yeah, or playing with a blind dwarf in goal and our keeper as an old fashioned outside half, only a false one

To be fair though, I think most of the support was lost last season........his sacking appeared inevitable and it's still one of football's great mysteries as to how we started the season with him still in charge.
The summer break has really only been a note on a page.....performances have been continuously poor and riddled with the problems that have plagued the vast majority of his time up till now.
In that sense, I don't believe he has quickly lost support, as some observers in the media have maintained, this is just a long drawn out separation which started a long time back. Confirmation, if you will, of the final summary most Liverpool fans arrived at last season.
FSG made a monumental, not to mention costly, mistake not terminating in the close season.Last edited by McDermotX; 30-09-15, 03:36 PM."I will make the boys feel your support"

We are only 5 points off top having played two top teams. I do think there is a danger of people over stating how bad the situation is.
Now Sturridge is back and Ings is in form I'm quite looking forward to games again."The man who never alters his opinion is like standing water, and breeds reptiles of the mind."

Aye, but we're also only beating sides of low placement since March as well........there's an undeniable pattern with this managerial setup. Having Sturridge's goals available would be a major boon.......probably not enough though in all honesty, as there are inherent failing weaknesses in this squad, which can probably only be addressed at this stage by a change in vision.
Up and down is the only outlook for us - maybe with a collapse of one or two of the upper half Top 7-8 sides, it could lead to a top 4 placing, but there is a stark reality of underachievers with this squad, a squad which should be doing much better.
I firmly believe that any other manager in here of such limited guile would have us performing at least as well.............the right man though, could elevate us again."I will make the boys feel your support"
