That's nonsense. You've said yourself - "Gerrard sitting in that DM role and pinging his hollywood balls" - you mean the position he'd never really played succesfully until Rodgers put him there in a creative role.

We didn't start the season brilliantly - it was once we changed to that system that we exploded into life and started battering teams. Rodgers has to take credit for coming up with a system that got the best out of that collection of players. Just as he needs to take criticism for ripping it up at the end of the season and never getting us to anything like the same level of fluency or attacking threat.

They've a decent record against us these days.

Tactics Tim will definitely fancy he can outmanoeuvre a punch drunk Brendan on his last legs.

Guys, let's not rewrite history. Rodgers did a good job in 13/14.

Management is generally just about having good players and inspiring them to play well. Only the greats exceed that. Rodgers had talented players so I don't think he exceeded as has been mentioned. But he did his job well at least.

I want him gone because now the players aren't inspired by him. And when that happens you're screwed. He's changed the staff, he's changed players. It's not enough and it's still broke.

          Time to say good bye.
          Forwards.......

Whilst I'm on the suject, Rodgers tried to go the diamond but with Balotelli up top he couldn't do it. Brendan's best teams have been ones that hassle and chase.

I've no idea why he signed Benteke. He's already regressed to wanting the chasing and pressing again as opposed to the sitting back in a solid shape.

Rodgers can **** off if he thinks he's getting any credit from me. It was Suarez making everyone far better. He was on another planet that season.

I never said Gerrard played well in that role. I thought he was ****e. I used Hollywood balls as more of a derogatory term. He thought he was Alonso. He did finish all those penalties we won though.

Bodgers should hand in his LFC crested jacket and crowbar his new ****ing teeth out that we paid for and never set foot in Liverpool again.

I think there is a lot of frustration around.

The big **** up here was not making the change in the summer. This was an accident waiting to happen, it has just happened far quicker than anyone could have predicted.

We are crashing from performance to performance with zero confidence. A change of management is probably the only thing that will snap the players out of this mentality, because right now, we look defeated before we get on the pitch.

As much as I have never been convinced by Brendan, he turned out to be a better manager than I thought he was, and just as the Suarez season made him look better than he was (we played that season with close to zero cup football) our current run is also making him look worse than he actually is.

He was never ready for a job of this magnitude, he got this chance way too early in his career and in reality, much like Hodgson, does not have what it takes to manage a club of this profile.

Let's just hope this misery is ended really soon and a caretaker or new manager is drafted in whilst we can still do something about the season. I'd even take Gary Mac for a few weeks whilst we sort someone else out. Brendan is done.

A warning for slagging off Rodgers Give me strength.

                  CARLISLE. We drew with CARLISLE.

We are a laughing stock and its all down to Al Dente.

You only have to read the posts above to see people explaining their reasoning.

You slagging Rodgers offers nothing to the debate.

I'm with Harv on this one.

I don't know how he's got the nerve to turn up to training everyday and garble out the same old BS when he can't buy a win. I think he's taking the piss now. Just do the right thing and go. Danke.

Im not having it for a second that Al Dente had anything more than a minor role in that season.

Get offended all you want. You know how i know?

He can't repeat it. Why "stumble" on a magic tactic that has us battering teams....only to change it over summer.

The answer is he lost the tactic. Its name was Suarez.

I also wonder how good it is for the club to have a split board as far as sacking the manager is concerned. (if said rumours are true)

Have visions of it being like Est at Lfc.

JH: by gad he's gotta go i tells ya!

IA: Nah mate he's sound, top top manager! Suarez wouldn't be the player he is today without Brendan, and it's Stevie Gee's fault we lost the title anyways.

The lack of planning and strategy in our transfer dealings is staggering. We've obviously got cash - we just do not know how to spend it.

It's amazing that nobody in the organisation seems able to question some of the decisions being made. Firminho looks a mental signing at £32m - particularly given we don't really need cover in his position (let alone that he looks nowhere near a £32m player). And our defence, which has always been piss weak through the middle gets the same clowns we had last season, to the point that despite havering spent 300 million we STILL have guys playing out of position.

And a DM, we were clearly shipping Lucas out right up until the day before the Arsenal game, only to about face and keep him and he is now one of the key players in our first XI, but we have no cover for him, despite the fact he is injury prone and his legs are gone.

There's clearly been to much bull**** and self congratulation and not enough hard straight talking, analysis and work on actually building a balanced squad.

We make it all look so difficult.
