And 35 minutes of the combined 270 that made up those 3 games were actually watchable. Go us.Originally posted by Fredo View PostWe started the season with three clean sheets.
Frankly I'd rather we entertained and lost that bored, toiled and won (that's as a general ideology rather than in one off games where shutting up shop is considered a tactical necessity. If it's going to be ****, tiresome fayre id as soon not watch it and spend my limited free time doing something i enjoy. And in the past year Rodgers has served up predominantly **** on toast tedium as his default. He needs to either **** it off or, you know, nothing I suppose because I'm just a dude posting on the net and have, like, ****ing zero influence in this arena.A lot of people run a race to see who is fastest. I run to see who has the most guts, who can punish himself into exhausting pace, and then at the end, punish himself even more.

Rowans reply was to you though.Originally posted by Fredo View PostMy post was in reply to foster bloke's post.
I get that you are attempting to keep a positive view on things, but lets call a spade a spade this season. We have been rubbish.
Villa was the best we looked because we played with a lot more freedom, but it was still a bit of a **** show.*Except Michael, who died.

In 2 years time we could look back on this is a huge opportunity that we allowed to pass us by.Originally posted by rodo View Postsurely tonights results should give fsg a bit of a kick up the arse as klopp wont be available forever
Since Benitez we have made a succession of poor managerial decisions. There's no point putting 300 million into the squad if you've got a sub par man in charge. Hodgson and Rodgers are both well below the standard we require but Jürgen klopp isn't.[B]Sir Isaac Newton knew the universal law of karma - any action has its equal and opposite reaction.[B]

i still think he's a really talented manager. he's just lost himself a little. he's shown that he knows how to have a team play fast, direct attacking football. a bit hung-go. a bit happy-go-lucky in the sense that you know anyone can score against us but that we believe we can outscore anyone.
once you lose that believe, that happy-go-lucky approach, you're going to struggle big time. a bit like kevin keegan.
so either he's able to restore his believe in what he's good at or he'll be gone. don't think he'll be given the time here to reinvent himself as a master tactician.

I think the decision to remove Rodgers has already been made. I would love klopp to take over but I fear he doesn't fit the profile that fsg are looking for. They may prefer ancelotti but he will have his pick of elite jobs like Bayern, man city, juventus, the Italian national team etc... Other posters have said we will probably end up with AVB or someone else last like Lucien favre and then be stuck in this cycle of endless mediocrity.Originally posted by Fredo View PostProblem is if they make the decision now, it will look bad on them cos they've backed him in the summer. I assume they'll give him time until the situation becomes untenable.
Were very lucky that 2 of the worlds 6 or 7 elite managers are currently on the market for free. We will find out what fsg's intentions are for us soon enough. Klopp or ancelotti tells us they're serious about competing and quickly. AVB and its the complete opposite.[B]Sir Isaac Newton knew the universal law of karma - any action has its equal and opposite reaction.[B]
