He's got to go now.
When Hodgson was sacked, we had Man Utd in the FA Cup a day later, Blackpool and then Everton in the space of a week. That's what Kenny walked into.
FSG need to be talking to Ancelotti or Klopp, and getting them in asap. The knock-on effect of a new manager should help us through the tough run of fixtures.
There's just so much wrong at the moment. I remember when we won 2-1 against Bolton in Hodgson's season. We showed some decent things, FSG (or NESV at the time) were still looking for a replacement, and then we lost to Blackburn.
It's time to start afresh.Last edited by Phoenix07; 23-09-15, 11:13 PM.

Are they going to sack him and pay the compo? They're throwing money away at the moment, tens of millions worth of players on loan, tens of millions worth of fringe players. Are they going to pay him off then spend a wedge on a new contract with a top manager? I doubt it, they're financial guys, they'll take the cheaper option and either keep brendan or sack him and balance off the difference by bringing in an up and coming replacement.SakhoPotatoes

They need to protect their asset.....so in reality the cost of sacking brendan is small change. If origi is worth 2m in a years time then the loss on him alone will be more than it costs to give bdog the bullet....
They cant possibly invest in the team after the toilet ducks yer man buys every ****in summer so it is inevitable really.

Seriously chaps, unless there is Ancelotti, Klopp or someone else lined up to replace him, it's not gonna happen just now. I haven't seen the kop completely lose patience compared to the dark, dark days of Hodgson. Relatively speaking, these were much mediocre times. I hated everything that came with Hodgson, his turgid and defensive style of football and his total arrogance at interviews. Are we winning?

If they're making a profit from us ambling through the seasons, knowing they can't compete financially with the big boys then they may well be ok to carry on regardless. If their calculations suggest that spending £200m a season on new players will not increase their profits by a margin big enough to make the risk worthwhile, they wont do it.Originally posted by frank the tank View PostThey need to protect their asset.....so in reality the cost of sacking brendan is small change.
