    Brendan Rodgers

I will wait 10 games to see how we develop after our summer signings.
I do agree with posters saying it's his 4th season and there doesn't feel like any continuity (some might argue our bad results are the continuity!) in playing style, tactics and formation. It just feels like 4 separate seasons. I too would like a manager who lays the blue print in terms of transfer strategy, playing style and progresses upon that each season so we know what we are getting and the direction we are heading in. I just want LFC to do well regardless and want to see us challenge for trophies in europe (CL) and domestically.

Especially when no one plays well at stoke and we have played Arsenal away where we actually played really well, more so first half. After ten games we should have a better idea.
Don't worry, I totally appreciate your perspective & can relate to the **** day too

I feel we're in a phase akin to Evans/Ged 98, Ged 04 & Rafa 09 - I don't know if he can turn it around and I fear for the direction in which FSG will then steer us.

I hope he can and I'll genuinely be glad if we're still top 4 after 10 or 15 games

Rodgers himself said "Judge me after 3 seasons" so I think it is fair to now judge him. Yes it has only been 4 games this season and the new signings need to settle which bar a complete collapse he will get until Christmas and if we are off the pace by then then I think it's only fair he should go.

We should have a poll. How long will the owners persist with Rodgers? I'm going with another three months, there's no way he's going to see this season out.

                We really shouldn't.

Trying to predict the future is pretty futile. Even if the end result is a poor season we don't know what the ebbs and flows will be at all. 4 games in with 7 points is surely not a fair or sensible time to be asking when our owners should have management changes on the agenda?

Bollocks to that. We knew last season that we needed to sack this knobhead, he's still here. I want us to compete for something this season and I'm confident that we won't achieve anything with ****forbrains as our manager.

                      That's a bit much isn't it ?

Have the same doubts as most on here about our long-term situation with Rodgers, and I think almost everyone suspected he'd be gone after last season, but terms like that are uncalled for, even if the tongue if firmly in cheek.

Having a few laughs at his self-confident demeanor with some teeth gags is alright, but directly abusive stuff is too much, surely ?

I think my analysis of the season is that we made the same massive mistake as Arsenal against West Ham (neglecting the wide areas high up the pitch) and paid for it due to defensive errors. We need to improve and possible be more flexible in our starting strategies but I think judging Rodgers at this point in the season is premature. Come January if things are looking bad he will have no leg to stand on really as he has the time to create a culture at the club if he could and this summer seemed to get the signings he wanted.

My big frustration with Brendan is that we don't seem to keep the strategy of how we play consistent. If you look at his tenure as a whole, then he has changed strategy a number of times. Obviously there are specific instances / games where a manager needs to tweak his tactical approach, but i actually find it hard to pinpoint the LFC team identity now.

Are we a team that strives to keep the ball? It looked like we would be when Brendan first walked in. Remember a few games into his tenure, Brendan came out in support of Skrtel after he ****ed up against Man City.....because "he was trying to play the right way". Well fast forward 3 years and the instructions to the likes of Skrtel if he was under pressure would be to just hit it long to Benteke.

Are we a team that likes to have a big man up front that brings others into play??? Again remember 3 years ago and a £35m player (cost, not value!) was discarded. It didn't matter how much he cost because he simply wouldn't fit into our style of play. Fast forward 3 years and we spent £32.5m on a player that is obviously far better than Andy Carroll, but one of the objectives of his signing was that he could bring something different to the team.....that he could bring others into play. But the team still doesn't get the ball to the byline and cross it into the box...... so we have this £32.5m signing and we aren't even looking to play to his strenghts. It already looks like Benteke has been signed and included so that he can help get the best out of the likes of Coutinho.

Do we play with wingers?? Not really. We are most likely to get the width in our team from full back areas.....but that didn't stop us buying the likes of £20m Markovic and then loaning him out after he didn't do unreal at left back.

I would just like to see the team have a strong identity. All of the teams that we aspire to be rivals on the pitch to - both in the Premier League and in Europe - at least they all have that. And to be honest, i think Brendan stands the best chance of being a success at LFC if he instills that into the team....

For me, the best thing that Brendan has achieved over his tenure has been to introduce young players into the team.

The two big failures over his tenure have been:
                              (a) the transfer dealings
                              (b) the fact that the ship seems to be changing course every couple of months

He might be able to get a pass on (a) because he has brought in **** loads of money from Sterling and Suarez (although if it was any of the top 5 clubs in england, they'd have managed to get over £100m for Luis). Brendan made both of these players much better than before - and as such added value to the squad. He has done the same with Coutinho and Sturridge.

On the team identity though, i think that is what is going to get him the sack in the end. I hope i am wrong but I just can't see how he can chop and change so much and still get any level of consistency. It is almost like we have such an imbalanced squad now and BR is looking to get them all to fit in.

Although, in January we will be looking at the fixtures we have been through and people will (perhaps rightly) say that we had a ball-ache first half to the season fixture-wise and that Brendans teams always play better second half of the season.

Also, for me there should have to be a solid rationale for sacking the manager half-way through the season. If it is because they have identified the new man and want to give him time to assess his squad, then that is a brilliant reason. If it is because they just want to appease the fans, so they put an interim man in (Kenny again......or Gary Mac?) for the last couple of months, then that is a stupid reason.

Some people seem to think that Klopp will just be taken on half way through the season. I find that hard to believe to be honest.... i think if he was the man, then he would have been hired when he was available during the summer. We are probably just a likely to get Jurgen Klinnsman as Jurgen Klopp........ we are probably more likely to get Garry Monk than either of the Jurgens!! (especially if FSG want to persist with the current structure)
