I just didn't get the point he was trying to make?

He also said before saying that that he doesn't like Liverpool.

Claridge was bang on. He's all over the shop. Why buy Lallana if you're going to play him in a totally different role to the one he's performed so well. Scattergun tactics etc. Motson went full Holden Caulfield there though

Tbh, i think it would be fair to say that almost everyone involved in football matters; from hiring managers, to buying and preparing the players is at fault.

Since FSG bought the club they've got most of the football stuff/decisions badly wrong. imo.

I don't think Rodgers is going anywhere quickly. It has to be really bad before Fenway will step in mid season. We saw that with Hodgson.

They only took action when it became farcical and were not there yet with Brendan. Although I don't think were far away either.

I think we're there. I can't remember even on the Roy-est day anyone sticking 6 past us be interesting to compare Rodgers's past however many games with the totality of Hodgson's reign. I bet the points/ success ratios aren't really that far apart.

We were there in May. The owners made the wrong decision, no doubt about that.

I think the run of League games ending in the City match will probably decide his fate

Theres 21 points on offer there I think he has to get at least 10 or 12 points out of them to keep himself in the job

                  Talking about Roy....

Last 16 games under Roy Hodgson - yielded 20 points and the sack.

Last 16 games under Brendan Rodgers - yielded 19 points.

Again I haven't checked it out but its off twitter. No idea if its true but I hope its not.

I don't know if its just me avoiding the media these days but Rodgers doesn't seem to under nearly as much pressure as other managers would be.. To me it seems he's had an easy ride from day 1 in that regard.

The thing with Hodgson though was that when they took us over, the phone in show on LFC TV, and fan reaction on the internet, as well as press questions were with regard to Hodgson. Henry and Werner couldn't avoid it, so on paying closer attention, they saw something wasn't quite right.

This time around, there's no one who has their finger on the pulse from FSG with regard to fan opinion. Is there someone from FSG at Anfield during this moment? They're in Boston, away from the emotional side of things, because that's how they like it. There's a fundamental flaw in it though - they can be too slow to react. Emotion from those who live and breathe Liverpool everyday should also be an indicator. Also, it's as though they're waiting for a moment when there are no more excuses to give. The problem is there will always be an excuse. Sturridge is gaining match sharpness, squad needs to gel, Henderson is injured, playing two games a week. Who is going to turn around and say 'enough with this damn excuses. Every club in Europe has the same issues. Get on with it.'

It's like being run by Vulcans rather than humans. We're watching through football eyes. We know when something is fundamentally wrong. I just don't know what their indicators are, especially after the 6-1 defeat to Stoke. It's as though they've not considered the possibility that Rodgers would be under huge scrutiny with every defeat or lousy game if we didn't get off to a decent start. The atmosphere has turned toxic already. Surely someone high up must've realised the pressure was going to be on the moment he lost a game?

What's surprising is this downward curve we seem to be on hasn't itself set off any alarm bells for Fenway. They're the stats people so surely they would have picked up on it. Maybe Rodgers did such a good job of explaining it away that they let it go.

The rumours are that john henry doesn't like Rodgers at all. In the summer he wanted him gone but again Werner and mike Gordon convinced him or out voted him. But he isn't convinced by Rodgers one bit.

However both Werner and Gordon back him.

The Bodge got 20 league games. He ended up with

                          7 wins, 4 draws and 9 defeats

This manager in his last 20 league games has managed...

                          9 wins, 4 draws and 7 defeats

                          Almost in Bodge territory here
