Saw a few fans of other clubs tweeting the hashtag #rodgersin just like we did with #moyesin. You know it's time to go when that that happens

Over on TLW a few people ha e said it's Mike Edwards that is warning FSG off Klopp. The beaut probably knows if Klopp was appointed his little gravy train on the committee will end. Sounds like the club is full of self preserving parasites.

Maybe harsh, but that's the unsubstantiated feeling I have, Ayre, Brendan, the commitee, the club is filled with people who are only looking after number one.
            * The above is posted in my opinion. Feel free to disagree.

I really, *really* don't want to post this but I can't help myself. It's not really about Rodgers so it's probably a waste of time but it bothers me.

There is a clear xenophobia / misguided sense of patriotic loyalty in the football media in this country, it's crystal clear. Not on this forum, not among the fans (mostly)...but the media. There's not an ounce of pressure on Rodgers from the press. It's all coming from the fans - and rightly so. I didn't want to bring this up cos, of course, my foreign example is Benitez. Rodgers has spent and squandered a **** load more money than Benitez did, and his results are worse. Everything is worse. Yet Benitez got absolutely slaughtered from all quarters in the media. I don't need to go on about it (but remember Keys, Gray, Redknapp, Ronnie Whelan, Houghton etc - all of them FFS).....we all know what it was like. He got ****ing ruined. Those same people are preaching "give him time" about Rodgers. It's senseless, illogical and I can only conclude they're all xenophobes.

St John in particular was a ****ing disgrace. I think that old school especially are guilty.

I think they have a perfectly valid point. Foreign managers coming into the English leagues and preventing British managers from getting top flight jobs? Why wouldn't they be aggrieved?
Same situation as with tradesmen in the UK, you have all these bloody foreigners coming in and whilst they might well do a better job, that's not really the point is it?

Its not just xenophobia though is it? Brendan gives copy and stories to the media first hand, just like 'Arry used to (lets not forget just how much money he squandered bankrupting Portsmouth, Southampton, Spurs and relegating West Ham with half of England's "golden generation").

If the manager is willing to do the TalkSport interviews, do the equivalent of the winding down of the window to Sky reporters and no doubt drip feed them stories to bolster their own positions, then the press aren't likely to bite the hand that feeds.

Benitez couldn't be ****ed with them and they hated him for it. I preferred his model.
