At this point the owners have to come under scrutiny, are they willing to accept a manager with character rather than one that likes to use the word? About £80m on Borini, Allen, Lallana, Lovren & Lambert for starters. About £12m on Aspas & Luis Alberto. About £16m on Mad Mario. Over £100m right there.

That's over half the cash, about £150m, and I'd say it's a justifiable argument that not one of those gets in our current best XI.
