Smash the bitters and sack Rodgers. Would be the perfect Sunday.

It's like the Balotelli saga, we all hoped he'd live up to expectation but most knew it was unlikely. Then gradually it became clear to 99% of us it was a forlorn hope and he had to go.
Well Rodgers is a similar case. His arrival promised much and we got behind him but now most of us realise his time is up, he's tried & failed, sad times
I take no pleasure in seeing him go other than hoping it heralds the dawn of a new era for the club

Rodgers might be gone but the players will have to deal with the aftermath, I'm hoping they have enough about them to get a result, it only hurts them and their own CL hopes if they don't.Originally posted by Muddled View PostLet it go, fella.
Back on topic, I think Rodgers knows he's gone, I think the players know he's gone and I just hope the occasion can jig up the players tomorrow as there seems to be an air of inevitability.

I've accepted it, but I'm thoroughly gutted.
He felt like the one to fetch us back. To be back to square one.....gutted.
The gradually more vitriolic abuse doesn't help and the gloating frankly bemuses me.

I haven't noticed much abuse towards Rodgers other than people being pissed off with him talking bollocks. I wouldn't say that anyone would gloat about being right about him either, if he was winning and we were moving forwards as a club then we'd all be happy in spite of him talking bollocks.Originally posted by EwarWoo View PostThe gradually more vitriolic abuse doesn't help and the gloating frankly bemuses me.

He's had plenty of abuse, but if he wants to give me his pay check I'll gladly take every single word of it. Being an average manager is the best paid gig in football.Originally posted by TheElephantMan View PostI haven't noticed much abuse towards Rodgers other than people being pissed off with him talking bollocks. The abuse has been ott and is undeserved. But he's also had plenty of praise that was ott and undeserved to counter balance that. Personally, I've not given any personal abuse, but I've given him plenty of support when he had long since proven he was incapable.
I don't feel bad for him for a single second. Those giving personal abuse should go and put their head in a blender and do the world a favour tbh, but I'm sure Brendan can get over it with a nice holiday in the Bahamas whilst sipping cocktails and counting his cash until the next job comes along.Forwards.......

Based on his oft used teams:Originally posted by foresterbloke View PostCould it be that we kept Rodgers knowing that Ancelotti wouldn't be available until a bit later in the season?
The counter to that is our huge transfer outlay. Unless they're players Ancelotti wanted?
-------------- Mignolet
-- Clyne -- Skrtel -- Sakho -- Moreno
------------- Lucas/Can
------ Henderson -- Coutinho
-------------- Firmino
-------- Benteke --- SturridgeI saw a dead fish on the pavement and thought "what did you expect?"
There's no water round here stupid, should have stayed where it was wet
