FSG made the mistake when they didn't sack him in the summer. They need to rectify that asap and admit they were wrong. Get some positive PR

FSG originally wanted a DoF.
Klopp only wants to coach and doesn't want to be involved in the signing of players. Chance for them to implement what they originally wanted and start to move forwards again.
Thing is, look at our fixtures. If you were a manager would you want to come in with those fixtures on the horizon?Forwards.......

The other way of looking at it might be that a new manager wouldn't be expected to get great results in those games and so soon after taking over? It's a no-lose situation really.Originally posted by DannyMan2006 View PostThing is, look at our fixtures. If you were a manager would you want to come in with those fixtures on the horizon?

Absolutely, win some of them and you are a hero, lose em all and while some of the optimisim would go the fans wouldnt be on his back just yet. Plus all these ****ty fixtures now give us a great chance of a run in the second half of the season as we'll have all the tough ones at Anfield like in 13/14.Originally posted by DannyMan2006 View PostFSG originally wanted a DoF.

It was a no brainer to bin him in the summer, he had so obviously run out of ideas. New manager, new ideas, and players fighting to make an impression. This lot must have listened to some ****e over the last few years regarding formation switches that Rodgers credibility amongst the squad must be low.
The fact some players refer to them as the bomb squad (I guess they are the guys who get dropped when we lose) is a bad sign and suggests a resignation amongst them.
It's impossible to see Brendan getting anything out of the squad as things stand.Modifying post.

Well I would say FSG should be sacking him now.Originally posted by TheElephantMan View PostThe other way of looking at it might be that a new manager wouldn't be expected to get great results in those games and so soon after taking over? It's a no-lose situation really.
If Brendan stutters through with a couple of results they'd probably be inclined to keep him until the summer again. We'd be in January and due to being unsure the manager wouldn't be backed in the market despite it being needed.
The season will end up just dragging on. And if you're a good player at LFC with owners letting the season fizzle out, you're looking for a move away, just like Raheen and Suarez did.Forwards.......

I'd just add that if we're really far off the pace in the league, any new manager may target the Europa League, Capital One Cup and FA Cup to salvage the season.

The relationship with the board had made his position untenable. What we needed were new owners, but that wasn't going to happen. Should have bought him back after Dalglish.Originally posted by Fredo View PostPeople have got to remember that when we went on a similar bad run in Rafa's last season, a lot of people wanted him gone.Forwards.......

I don't think that would be a deciding factor for anyone who would want the job.Originally posted by DannyMan2006 View PostFSG originally wanted a DoF.

I don't really see how FSG are at fault. Or how they know less about football than various Arabs, Russians and other Americans. Rodgers' future was pretty borderline at the end of last season, but keeping him, improving the squad and giving him one last chance wasn't completely unreasonable. They backed him... but didn't overback him when you look at the net spend. They're expanding Anfield, have significantly improved the state of our books, and have provided enough investment in players for there to be no excuse now as to how they perform.
For all we know they're talking to potential replacements right now.I could not dig, I dared not rob:
Therefore I lied to please the mob.
Now all my lies are proved untrue
And I must face the men I slew.
What tale shall serve me here among
Mine angry and defrauded young?
