I don't understand why he's came into the season wanting to play 4-3-3 and hasn't bought a wide man and let Markovic go out on loan after selling Sterling.

Gerrard needed replacing a few years back, he actually gone now and we get Milner in on a free? Its not good enough is it.

The rot has set it in to such an extent it feels completely irreversible. We are sleepwalking towards his inevitable sacking in November so for me we might as well get it done now. The constant pissing around with formations probably makes Rodgers feel clever but the players look confused and lost.

I thought today was better but still not good enough, it feels like it is just postponing the inevitable.

I don't know how everyone else feels but I feel utterly betrayed by the club as a fan. We've gone from almost winning the league, playing the best football in the league to selling our best players, treating the so called holy grail of the CL as a joke and trying to pass of buying inferior players as a master stroke while trying to brush our previous transfer failings under the carpet.

As a Liverpool fan following the club for 28 plus years I have never felt so disappointed than I have these past 12 months and there appears to be no one at the club who knows or appreciates what this club is all about and what it was built upon.

Liverpool FC were built upon European football and we now have a manager who is more than happy to discard European football away just like most midtable teams do as they are all about survival in their domestic leagues. That's not us we should be up there with the Barcelona's and Real Madrids. Not scabbiing around midtable and considering it par.

Managers only change tactics and formations when things aren't working. Been here 4 years and still hasn't found a way of working he's happy with.

I knew he'd change and find a positive way of working. It's the 3 at the back again, but he will eventually revert back to a 433 and get it wrong again in the future. It's a never ending cycle that needs to be stopped.

My concern over the summer was about the lack of a system and the lack of a clear plan in the players we bought and that has been proven to be the case. We needed to decide on a style of play and buy players to suit it our squad is a total mis-match that doesn't suit any system, if you don't have a system and players to play it you won't be successful

Getting a system and players to play it seems like football management 101 so it is really frustrating that we are over 3 years into Rodgers term of management and we aren't even getting the basics.

I think the way they've backed him in the summer makes it hard for them to sack him this early into the season. It was terrible and they decided he deserved a chance to turn it around, 8 games into the new season seems premature having been so behind him in terms of letting him sack his staff and buy new players.

I want him gone but if we sack him now, who is available? Klopp? wants time out doesn't he? Maybe too early for him.

This is the problem with sacking a manager in the season. If the owners really thought Klopp was the man to take us forward surely they would have gone for him in the summer.

My problem is that I don't think we have had a tactically compentent manager since Rafa and I have never thought that we would be successful since he left. Even in the season we finished 2nd under Rodgers, you knew that season it was a one time deal, that year was our one chance. IMO we need a tactically aware manager the football might not be as entertaining but we need to become efficient in terms of taking chances and winning games. No team plays well every game - to be successful you need to get results when you play badly and that's something we haven't done over recent years.

We're all frustrated but why the personal attacks? If he's got to go, we need to have someone lined up to replace him. If we don't there's no urgency and people should just remain patient and be civil. There's no need for that.

I know we all have digs at the players and Managers but personal posts are really bad, makes you embarrassed to be a Liverpool fan.

Even if you do hate him just keep it to yourself as most people aren't interested in reading posts like some of the stuff that has been written about him of late.

Something has to give, or the season is already over and we are not even at the end of September. Rodgers has tried and failed, but I am not filled in confidence that the decision makers will make the right next move.

That's acceptable and par for the course apparently. Of course Rodgers won't directly say this, but he implies it often enough.

What was it last season? Lines such as "we always improve from the new year onwards" "my teams have always finished the season strongly" He's already starting to trot out that line now, couple of months earlier than normal though as I even think we had a better start last season which all agreed was a disaster.

He should have gone in the summer but he cannot be sacked after 6 league games. We have spent a lot of money in the summer and he needs a bit more time to gel the players into a team.

The time to sack Rodgers was after the 6-1, it isn't now.

The Bodge didn't have a fraction of what Rodgers has spent in the transfer market yet the quality football and results are almost on a par.

In fairness to Hodgson he never had the money to spend Rodgers did and came into a toxic environment. He was garbage, but Rodgers I'm afraid is no better at this stage and hasn't been since the collapse against United last season.

I can't think of any other manager in the league who would perform as badly with last seasons squad and a shed load of cash.

Yeah you have to worry that if they were confident enough to give Rodgers a chance after last season, you would have to question their knowledge of football.

Yeah he I stopped watching any of his interviews a long time ago. Full of ****
