We make it abundantly clear that it's a short term stint, regardless of what happens. Kenny went in without that. He knew that if he did well, the job was his.

Also, if you look at the ages of both Hiddink and Capello, they'll be eyeing retirement, which is why they took international jobs. I don't think either would fancy anything long term with us anyway, but one last shot at a big club who needs help? Why not?

Hiddink and Capello are big names in the footballing world, hugely experienced, and our young squad would look to learn from them until we bring in a permanent replacement.
Why not appoint hiddink on a 3 year deal. Why does it have to be a short term deal - he's certainly a good enough manager. Capello is a dinosaur in modern Football.

I'd be going all out for Klopp. His agent seems to be doing a Sharon Stone in Basic Instinct, dropping hints which seem to be referring to us. Yet, if he wants to have a full year out, then we may have to take a caretaker role. The same applies to Ancelotti. Emery won't walk out on Sevilla. Who else is there?
If klopp said yes now I would drive to Germany and bring him back myself. But I'm not sure hiring klopp is quite that simple. The owners have their own ideas.

Will probably end up with that idiot andre villas boas.

He's going to be 69 in November, and look at the teams he's managed since PSV from 2002-2006:

        2005–2006 - Australia
        2006–2010 - Russia
        2009 - Chelsea
        2010–2011 - Turkey
        2012–2013 - Anzhi Makhachkala
        2014–2015 - Netherlands

Only two those stints were full time roles. Even then, they weren't long term.

Perhaps candidate for director of football.

We should really stop giving managers new deals! Gave Rafa one, went to ****, gave Kenny one, went to ****, gave Brendan one, went to ****. I though we should wait until half way through last season but after nearly winning the league it was hard to argue.

And stop finishing second. The place is a bloody curse to LFC.

I think it's time to go but I can see him surviving till Christmas\New Year.

I'm ok with that but if he is any lower than 4th by Christmas or on a 5 game winning streak and knocking on 4th he has to go.

I kind of fear the scenario where we are on the periphery of top 4 and he is kept beyond Xmas in the hope (rather than expectation) we can push on after another transfer window. I would rather we cut our losses and made a change sooner.

Why would you fear being on the periphery of top four? That's where we want to be. If Rodgers was capable of getting us challenging then nobody would be hankering for his departure. We want rid because he's useless and we're getting progressively worse.

Even after 6 games it's clear we're moving from a standing start again. With our level of expenditure, we're clueless and did you see the amount of space we left in midfield? Look familiar?

We need new management to tell future players that they'll be bought to play in their natural position.

I think we only need a decent CB to replace Skrtl, a hard CM and a better keeper.
