The mistake with Kenny was that we went on and gave him a 3 year contract, and then Henry appeared on 'Being Liverpool' and bull****ted at how Kenny always knew it was a short term gig.

We make it abundantly clear that it's a short term stint, regardless of what happens. Kenny went in without that. He knew that if he did well, the job was his.

Also, if you look at the ages of both Hiddink and Capello, they'll be eyeing retirement, which is why they took international jobs. I don't think either would fancy anything long term with us anyway, but one last shot at a big club who needs help? Why not?

Hiddink and Capello are big names in the footballing world, hugely experienced, and our young squad would look to learn from them until we bring in a permanent replacement.

Why not appoint hiddink on a 3 year deal. Why does it have to be a short term deal - he's certainly a good enough manager. Capello is a dinosaur in modern Football.

I'd be going all out for Klopp. His agent seems to be doing a Sharon Stone in Basic Instinct, dropping hints which seem to be referring to us. Yet, if he wants to have a full year out, then we may have to take a caretaker role. The same applies to Ancelotti. Emery won't walk out on Sevilla. Who else is there?

If klopp said yes now I would drive to Germany and bring him back myself. But I'm not sure hiring klopp is quite that simple. The owners have their own ideas.

2014–2015 - Netherlands

I kind of fear the scenario where we are on the periphery of top 4 and he is kept beyond Xmas in the hope (rather than expectation) we can push on after another transfer window. I would rather we cut our losses and made a change sooner.
