At least the club's future is secure, that's the only difference for me.
Also he's got the post match interviews nailed

If fsg were so divided on Rodgers why was he allowed to buy all the players he wanted. If last season wasn't enough to convince Fenway to get rid of him then I don't think that the first 6 league games of this season are either.

The rot has been there for ages, for months. The time to act has passed. He needs at least 10 games to prove beyond all doubt that he's totally out of his depth. That's what Fenway are looking for and were not there yet.

It's just delaying the inevitable really, we are losing points and the damage is gettign more and more. We need to act now, and should have done so sooner, can't believe the amount of patience this chancer has had.
      * The above is posted in my opinion. Feel free to disagree.

Also look at it this way.

Get a new boss now and it gives him a few months to try his players and have a plan for a January transfer window.
        Forwards.......

I wouldn't have appointed him in the first place. Now were in this cluster**** of a mess unless klopp or ancelotti were available in not sure what you can do.

The part I dont understand is that FSG are all about advertising, branding, new revenue streams, new markets etc and they dont seem to understand that there is a correlation between performance on the pitch, player quality and all of these advertising contracts.

They have done well on the revenue side, I agree. But most of that were based on the reputation our club has in the past and some of our iconic players like Gerrard. If you look at their tenure there is nothing they have done on the footballing side which will lead to increased revenues in the future. In fact another 3-4 more years of similar performance and if they are still the owners, I am sure they will find it difficult to grow their revenues.

We have no marketable players, our football is **** and as Leyton pointed out earlier we have treated europe as an unnecessary distraction. Everything seems so bland about the club, no player to get excited about, nothing. We seem to be becoming a crapier version of Arsenal.

FSG haven't got the slightest clue about football & one thing that Rodgers can do well is talk a good game. He has a silver tongue, i'll give him that. The guy certainly can sell himself.

January doesn't really give you a chance to bring in more than a couple of players.

I'd feel that this season is a write off whatever happens, because whoever comes in we don't have the players to play whatever system they want. We are going to January at least with square pegs in round holes. While I think that the squad has more quality than it's showing but it has no players in some positions.

Totally rudderless. Has been for years.
                    3rd place. Worst champions ever.

We have to get a new manager in and win the Europa. That's all I can cling to now to keep this season alive.

To me, when you realise something isn't working and you don't have confidence it will change, you have to be ballsy and make a big decision.

West Ham bosses got stick for ditching Allardyce in the summer who "guaranteed them premier league football". Leicester got stick for sacking Pearson who kept them up so well. Southampton got rid of Nigel Adkins mid season who wasn't even in too much trouble and had won them two promotions.

Now I don't think we will be relegated. But I don't think under Rodgers we will finish top 4. I doubt we will even if we change manager, but at least it gives us a chance. If we leave it until we can say we've given him 10 games, by then 4th will be long gone.
No mate I don't think he's good enough to manage this team. I think he's a mid level premier league manager who interviews well. He got lucky on this job and I haven't seen anything from him that makes me believe there's something even remotely genius about this guy.

                        Zilch.

You get in a caretaker i.e. Hiddink or Capello.

This to me is one of the biggest issues. Our appeal outside of the premier league will obviously diminish if we aren't ever showing our stuff in the european competitions.

The Europa League is a huge opportunity to get into the champs league and to showcase the club around Europe & we treated it like a reserve game. Same as last season, it was an absolute embarrassment. What are we too ****ing good for the Europa League now!!?

Hiddink would be fantastic short term

We did that with Kenny and we can't repeat that mistake again.
