to be fair even seasoned pros like Tony Evans are still highly critical of Rodgers appointment. its clear that he doesn't have universal backing.

but now is not the time to be too harsh because 61 points is progress on last seasons 52. this coming season is absolutely critical. we have to make a top 4 challenge and hit somewhere near the 75 point mark.

I think he is doing a great job with the resources at his disposal, and the majority of his singings are a breath of fresh air and excite me. The future is bright. Believe.

Also does anyone remember the quote that either came from FSG or BR? Something the lines of, the team we build will never be disabled by the loss of one single player. What a great philosophy.

I'm more than happy that we are making progress. We need to sort out issues at CB and with regards to Carol and Suarez but otherwise I have no issues. I don't blame the manager for those issues.

I think it's pathetic tho that some fans keep making fun of the way he speaks and his lingo, i. e 'my friend'

I think he's doing well but I wouldn't get carried away, he made mistakes to begin with but now it seems he has learned from them.

Borini doesn't look to me like he'll work
Allen regressed and was overpriced at £15m
Sahin cost us £4m to loan and he was misused/didn't fit
            Assaidi didn't get a sniff

            Coutinho
            Sturridge

            2/6 look good
2 have a chance to still prove themselves but I'm unsure
2 have completely flopped, Assaidi was probably worth the risk but he deserved more of a chance IMO

            Am I missing anyone?

He must be the worlds most expensive loan signing. I highly doubt that figure you mentioned is correct.

I'm still not convinced. He isn't doing a "great job", that's not true. We improved on the previous season, but that isn't saying much. I would love Rodgers to be a massive success and he made two excellent signings in the January window. That's quite encouraging. This next season is very important, if the owners back him in the transfer window then he must make significant progress. We need to be challenging for top 4 next season, we must close the gap.

I'm one of his supporters, so get stuffed with that. It's just funny, not anything against him. ****s sake, the world's gone mad.

Not really, we have to pay his wages you know.

If he was on £90,000 a week and we'd agreed to pay his wages for a full season that's over £4m straight away. We're not exactly going to be able to opt out halfway through for free either.

Don't worry, I'm sure he millions of pounds he walked away with will help him come to terms with any perceived "disrespect"

What's that got to do with what I said? I said opt out for free Madrid wanted him out on loan and we no doubt inconvenienced them and didn't complete the agreed terms so probably paid a cut fee to get him off the wage bill.

He was here for 5 months was it? I found his deal was agreed on 25th August but not sure when it ended. A fair time scale would be about 24 weeks?

That's over £2m in wages, the loan itself would have no doubt carried a fee and even if for some bizarre reason Madrid let us cancel our agreement for free its not difficult to see it's likely the loan could reach £4m.
