I was quite impressed with the way we played against Arsenal for most of the first half. I think initially Rodgers probably had a sensible plan for that particular game. That nil nil at the Emirates is out best result for a while relative to my expectations anyway - probably since the City game last season.

That's the most frustrating part. He has the skill, he just has no awareness or consistency with it. That's like giving a blind man a lighter to set off fireworks in the park.

The timing of it happening is fully results dependant. If we are making a decent fist of top 4 contention then he'll get the time to see if he pulls it off. If we aren't he'll be gone much sooner.

Yeah I did notice that. I think the sentiment of the post is how a lot of people are feeling at the moment. I've been looking at a lot of other forums today to try and see what the common consensus is and it's all pretty much the same. People wanting him gone but think FSG will not act and allow him until Christmas or the end of the season. Even then people are sceptical about the quality of manager fsg will target.

How long until it gets to that point where we want him to lose games so he gets sacked quicker? The longer he stays in charge the further adrift we will get.

I actually think Rodgers will keep doing just enough to hang on and drag it out. People say he should stay until Xmas, if he makes it through this nightmare set of fixtures he will still be here come the end of the season, which is the likely scenario.

Only way he gets the boot is if fans stay away from games like they did with Hodgson.

Speaking personally I never want us to lose for any reason. Hope he wins every game. Agree that if the atmosphere at the ground goes toxic and/or fans vote with their feet FSG's hand will be forced. Even though it shouldn't need to be.

I'm not predicting how long he'll last, I was totally convinced that he was gone after last season. He's on borrowed time, how much is anyone's guess. He needed to amass points quickly this season before the difficult run started.
