Actually scrap that I would replace Lallana with Ings, I thought he had a decent few minutes when he can on, worked hard and he would be another goal threat which is something this side doesn't have many of.The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

Utterly irrelevant, they decided to keep him in the Summer they're not going to ditch him after 1 loss this season.Originally posted by TheElephantMan View PostIt's his fourth season.
A disaster might see him removed early but any change due to poor results is most likely next Summer

I think I've seen one person wonder about him getting sacked in the international break, hardly all the naysayers. Thats unrealistic and would be bloody silly after backing him I agree but him being here till the summer is too IMO if we dont keep in touch with the top 4 race over the coming months.

He's lost one game - talk of the owners sacking him or any other manager now is mental, even for this place.Originally posted by TheElephantMan View PostIt's his fourth season.
They would have jettisoned him in the summer if that was on the agenda.Last edited by chadrtc; 30-08-15, 01:25 PM.Cult Member. Nazi puncher.

I'd be surprised if he's not been given some pretty clear cut performance expectations from FSG, no idea what they'll be but you'd think they big one will be a top 4 finish.Originally posted by G View PostI think I've seen one person wonder about him getting sacked in the international break, hardly all the naysayers. Moyes if I remember correctly was removed when that was mathematically unobtainable, not out of the realms of possibility there'd be something similar.
I do find the talk of removal of our manager after one defeat in a season pretty distasteful though, has the feel of something more akin to the Chelsea or Evertons of this world.

He should have gone during the summer, I'm hardly alone in thinking that. I don't want us to be terrible, I want us to compete at the top end of the table - I want us to win the league, but realistically I want us to be back in the CL. I want us to have the best chance of getting positive results, I want the team to develop and improve each season. In spite of buying some decent players in the summer we still have the same old problems.

Why does an alternative opinion from your own mean that someone must be mental?Originally posted by chadrtc View PostHe's lost one game - talk of the owners sacking him or any other manager now is mental, even for this place.

Bit in bold - perhaps but he didn't did he, he's still here and the manager of the club whether you like it not.Originally posted by TheElephantMan View PostHe should have gone during the summer, I'm hardly alone in thinking that. As has been said since he was given another season he'll either make his targets or he'll be pushed this season. We're 4 games in not playing that well but have 7 points, only one side is playing well so far this season.
If things don't improve then he'll be gone simple as that.

He has zero consistency in his approach. He won't last much longer with us and it'll be interesting to see what happens him next. I think his stock as a manger is plummeting. Football people will think he's a soundbite, cocky bull****ter.
Spot on.
