Sounds like Rodgers does have a say but just gets players lashed at him by the committee that he didn't want.

Find a manager, let him pick the players, send the scouts to check on them, send the chief exec to do the deal. That's it. No matter who picks the team it wont matter when he's getting players he doesn't want. If they arnt gonna get used they are a waste of wages.

lets have it right he deffo chose Borini, Allen and Lovren for £45m so he's got his faults. But theres not one club that has this system in place and it works its ****ing ****e. Markovic that was his first mins in 8 games apparently?

Eto'o on loan would've been a far better shout then Balotelli too

A Wonga loan would have been better than Balotelli.

I thought last season was a perfect example of just how much difference having 1 world class player at the club has (Suarez). Quality over quantity. That should be the philosophy for each and every transfer window.
If you want to strengthen the squad you do it with youth, bosman and loan signings, you don't do it by buying 26 year olds from Southampton for 25 million or 20 million on bang average wingers and then have them sit on the bench.

Sadly Brendan is just following in the tradition of every Liverpool manager since the PL began, quantity over quality in transfers, always looking for clever bargains and that final piece of the jigsaw rather than buying 1 proven top class player to go straight into the first 11.

Think most of us are thinking the same thing at this point. You can't stick by him if he doesn't start showing some balls and playing his signings. You can't sign them for tens of millions and then not pick them. His team selections make no sense

I don't think any of us would mind if we lost while playing a team like-

            ..............Mignolet
            Manquillo...Skrtel...Sakho/(Lovren)....Moreno
            .............Can....Henderson
            Lallana.......Coutinho.....Markovic....
            ..................Sterling

Bring Gerrard on second half or rest Henderson for him.

Either way if we get beat while actually trying to score goals we can live with that. Just can't live with not even trying ffs

Pretty sure that Bayern Munich have been using a committee system for a number of years, and that with their version all of the committee have to agree on a player before they go for that player.
I don't hate people. I just feel better when they aren't around.

Its easy for them though as all they do is buy Dortmund's players. Seriously though Our scouts are a ****ing farce. Look at these lads Newcastle got they pick belters up. We get over priced divvys out the prem we all know any of us could pick

yeah but that's grown over the years and they have people in it who have played football at the very top level making the decisions.you can't just throw a few people in a room and say now that's a commitee.

in hindsight a DoF would have been a better choice and in time maybe give more people a say in the matter and slowly you get a good group of people steering in the right direction

We need an experienced football person with a lot knowledge of the global football market. Should've been brought in at the same time as Brendans appointment.

Everyone's talking about how we need this and that, every single one of us had our cocks out over Rodgers last season, no one was talking about him needing anyone back then.

Yes we're doing terribly but ****ing hell, we're all know it alls to when it comes to running a massive club with perhaps the biggest fanbase in the world.

He's having a shocker but has he been given time to turn thing around, no he hasn't in all fairness. I know he's only started changing things now but he has figured this out and he's still young to be fair.

I am still undecided on BR but a part of me wants him to suck seed, we were ****ing incroyable to watch last year and don't none of you deny that. Suarez played a big part in that but you wonder whether the current crop of players can do that again with a talented striker around them.

                            I think they can.

yes we all had our cocks out as you say, and i don't think any of us would blame him for a mistake, it's part of having a young manager. it's the repetition of the same mistakes that angered people and rightly so, but, as you say he's tried to mend it up until the basel game where he cocked it up a bit again, but for the first time this season he's gone and made two positive subs at half time.

his starting lineups from now till january will tell us a lot about whether he's on the right path to get us out of this mess
