On another note, we should never again extend a managers contract when the original one still has time to run unless silverware has been landed. Twice this **** has happened now.

I wouldn't be surprised if they were clauses in Rodgers latest contract so his payoff is only in the region of £5m or so like it was for Moyes.

I'd probably stop watching if Rafa came back.

Reckon a big indicator will be in the transfer window. No investment - no Brendan. I posted the other day that last season was Suarez's vision more than Brendan's - much as I hate to say it, its looking more and more like that's the case...

                      I don't think he's done one mate.

we have heard many say he is a young manager finding his way, needs time to gain experience, etc.

last year the partnership of suarez and sturridge painted over a multitude of other issues.

are we some sort of academy for young managers to come here so they can gain experience.

To be fair to Rafa, who's football was a little negative at times, in his first 3 seasons we saw the arrival of the likes of Alonso, Reina, Agger, Mascherano, Garcia, Zenden, Aurelio, Arbeloa, Bellamy, Crouch, Morientes, Kuyt, and Voronin

Maybe they didn't all set the world alight, and there were many duds, but the good ones were a different level in quality to what we seem to have at the moment.

In 12 games so far, other than Southampton (who really deserved something out of the opening game) we've only beaten teams currently placed 11th, 13th and 20th. Thats as mediocre as it gets.

Anyway, theres no point looking at the table until after January. There's loads of games played over the festive season and with a few back to back wins we could be 8th.
