I feel watching his interview is going to be quite painful.

Allen, Borini, Balotelli, Lallana, Lovren, Lambert and Mignolet are all signings made by a manager who doesn't get what it takes to succeed at a big club. He also wanted us to sign Williams, Vorm and Dempsey too.Originally posted by Daniel 7 View PostI don't understand the committee and I can;t imagine that Brendan hasn't been heavily involved in the signings. He said he has final say, and with that, all the responsibility for the disasters Lovren and Balotelli rest with him. Its a scandalous waste of the biggest fund ever entrusted to a Liverpool manager. ****ing shocking.
FSG are trying to run this club like a business and it would make no business sense at all to give him any more money at all.

That's the top and bottoms of it - NO signings are forced on the Manager without his consent. The committee talk is just an obfuscation tactic to deflect responsibility (for ****e signings) from the person with the ultimate power over transfers.

would not give the manager a pennyOriginally posted by ChrisDR1968 View PostDidn't watch the game but heard a bit of commentary on the radio. Didn't sound like we played that badly overall.
I predicted 3-0 and 3-0 it was. Not a surprise as we don't have decent strikers available right now and they do. We also have a terrible record at Old Trafford and have generally lost there even with good teams in form.
Give him the January transfer window and let's see what we do then.
All is not lost this season... yet
Oh I say his vision there was lovely

Yeah, it's not cut and dry. I can completely understand peoples' frustration at our current predicament and emotions now are extremely high. We nearly score, they take the lead; we continue to probe and they get a lucky break; we nearly pull one back before half time; we nearly make it 2-1 ... it's such fine margins between making a game of it or it looking like a trouncing.Originally posted by DeanoUK View PostHm if the score line was lower and we'd played like we wanted it I'd be inclined to agree, however it's been pretty damn poor and with the same culprits causing the problems who are still getting into the starting line up (and not being taken off).
But in his defence; Balotelli should've had a couple and Sterling too. It's ****ing hard to judge at this point.
Argh.
We showed a lot more desire in our play today. It showed that Rodgers is aware and actively doing something about it. He's not just making the same decisions or trying the same things, he's trying and needs time to implement these changes.
Which is very true. If Rodgers is at fault, our whole infrastructure needs looking at. Back to basics and a longer spell of transition? It's certainly possible.Originally posted by G View PostI think he should go but everybody on the committee needs to go too or it's pointless.
I think Rodgers has shown that he is willing to change things. How often has he played the same starting eleven this season? I'd guess at never. He does have an idea, he's just being let down by players at the moment.Originally posted by danperkins View PostUnfortunately he has lost it, no idea how to set us up or who to play. Insisting on playing the same under performers all season, anyone who comes in and plays well seems to just get dropped for the same ****e.Last edited by Muddled; 14-12-14, 04:36 PM.

We wouldn't have won, you can't win games against good sides if you have no strikers.Originally posted by fidget View Postif he's started with Lucas and Can instead of his bumchums Gerrard and Allen we'd probably have won or drawn

There's no realistic replacement mid season, so might as well stick with him until the summer and see where we are at then.
Even though I thought we played better in parts his selections are downright bizarre and must be a pressure thing. It was the same in Houllier's last season.James Philip Milner Fanclub #1

Depends if you can look at the performance dispassionately.Originally posted by Kenneth View PostMaybe it did, but he nearly pulled it off and we lost 3-0, doesn't really sound credible does it?
Their 'keeper got Man Of The Match in a three, nil 'trouncing'; How often has that happened?

Nah. The rot has set in now, the longer he stays the more long term damage he'll do. Best to wipe the slate clean.Originally posted by Rich View PostThere's no realistic replacement mid season, so might as well stick with him until the summer and see where we are at then.
