You tell me a top side who are always changing formations?

Managers only change tactics and formations when things aren't working. Been here 4 years and still hasn't found a way of working he's happy with.

I knew he'd change and find a positive way of working. It's the 3 at the back again, but he will eventually revert back to a 433 and get it wrong again in the future. It's a never ending cycle that needs to be stopped.

I think the way they've backed him in the summer makes it hard for them to sack him this early into the season. It was terrible and they decided he deserved a chance to turn it around, 8 games into the new season seems premature having been so behind him in terms of letting him sack his staff and buy new players.

I want him gone but if we sack him now, who is available? Klopp? wants time out doesn't he? Maybe too early for him.

Klopp and Ancelotti would walk here tomorrow, pretty certain of that. Also pretty certain we'd do something silly and go for I dunno, Celta Vigo have had a good start to the season havent they? Whoever their manager is.

While everyone is begging for a new manager and expecting Klopp or Ancelotti I wouldnt put it past us to try and be "clever" and do something totally daft.

As a Liverpool fan following the club for 28 plus years I have never felt so disappointed than I have these past 12 months and there appears to be no one at the club who knows or appreciates what this club is all about and what it was built upon.

Liverpool FC were built upon European football and we now have a manager who is more than happy to discard European football away just like most midtable teams do as they are all about survival in their domestic leagues. That's not us we should be up there with the Barcelona's and Real Madrids. Not scabbiing around midtable and considering it par.

Well we have lost four players that were enforced in Suarez, Gerrard, Carragher and Sterling. The rest were forced out. We have spent masses of cash to replace them and despite signing some quality players we have no idea how to fit them all in.

I think most of us would pick our best side without the near £50m Southampton pair and at least one of the £60m pair signed this summer. It'd also be debatable if our vice captain and highest paid player would make the side.

It's hard to say we can't sign quality players when teams like Spurs sign Son who would've come here and the Hammers sign Payet, Swanswea sign Ayew and Stoke sign Shaqiri who is a winger and would've fit in a 433.

There are plenty of players out there whom we could've signed.

I'd give him time if he was showing a forward thinking plan that was boiling in the pot and gave us an idea it would come to the boil and pay dividends. Instead we just throw the water away every few weeks and start again from scratch.

I mean his grand plan today was to play 3412. Why didn't he do that earlier in the season with Benteke & Ings? Firmino in behind when we had no Couts & Lallana? It's clearly because his first plan has failed miserably. I'm fed up of plan A failing.

Money is being spent, so the only problems are player recruitment and results on the pitch. Looking closer, I'd find it a difficult task for anyone to sign players for a coach who continually changes his game plan.

So I've narrowed it down to one obvious problem. Rodgers.
You can add inability to pick a good manager to that aswell plus theres too many people in the higher echelons more concerned with saving their own skins than getting the best man for the job, FSG were "warned off" Rafa and now warned off Klopp!

For the same reason he thought he could succeed where better managers have failed with Mario. His ego.

I agree I don't think we should give him time because he's regressed us rather than taken us forward over his 3 seasons in charge.

However, my point is if we sacked him in the morning, where does the club go? Would Klopp come back from his break this early into it? Who else is out there? Ancelotti, great with sides already formed but when was the last time he rebuilt a team?

Totally agree. He just doesn't see to have a plan at all, and it shows in the team. In parts we were a little slicker today, but that was down to Norwich giving us space, space we will not get against more well organised teams.

I really believe his time is up. We looked bereft of ideas, and that comes from the manager. When FSG said we expected a slow start, that was in relation to the tough away fixtures we have been handed. But a scrappy 1 nil win at home to Bournemouth, a 3 nil loss to West Ham , and a 1-1 with Norwich we are in a big hole, and one we dont look like getting out of.

Time to open talks with Klopp while he is still available. If we leave it too late we will screw up the next manager appointment too.

                            Your time is up Brendan....

If FSG have decided to make a change, whether it be in a caretaker stance or seek to appoint a long term replacement, then we should hear something in the next day or two via the press.

However, I am going to assume it'll be more of the 'time to turn it around, understand there's a lot of new players to settle in, but won't accept any more poor performances' lines that have been concocted by the corporate powers that be which equals no change until the end of the season.
