I gave him a load of praise last season for figuring out our problems. He switched to three at the back, Lucas back in the side, Sakho and Can either side of the back 3 and it worked. We weren't thrilling but we got results and went unbeaten for however long it was after the loss to United.

One defeat - against those *******s again, at home - and he ripped the whole thing up and went back to a stodgy 4-2-3-1 (I think) and it all fell apart again.

Today, chasing a game at 0-2 down, he goes to a back 3, but with full-backs in the wing-back roles, so 5 defenders on the pitch, plus Lucas and Milner who wasn't much further forward. What the ****?

I just.....I dunno.........I don't think he knows what he wants, he flits from one thing to another almost like.....like he's rolled a ****in dice or something. There is no clear plan.
I don't think 3 at the back did work. We played some pretty awful **** with that formation. Turgid stuff where we created little and just packed the defence with bodies hoping not to concede and snatch a winner. We were very unbalanced.

Don't quite see how it's the manager's fault that Skrtel gifts them the 1st goal inside 3 minutes.
Nor how Lovren gifts them the 2nd.
Nor that Coutinho foolishly gets himself sent off.

Yes someone will argue that he picked them ergo it's his fault but all 3 played in the 3 preceding games where by and large we were solid (if unspectacular v Stoke & Bournemouth) and arguably played as well vs Arsenal as at any time since Spurs away 12 months before.

If he didn't make changes at 2 down everyone would slate him for that, maybe the changes would have worked if Coutinho hadn't got sent off.

      Who knows.

So many variables, how could we blame anyone?

You/we blame the players - they're the ones who's basic, schoolboy individual errors cost us the game.

Rodgers didn't get the team wrong (99% wanted the same team as v Arsenal with Hendo coming back in if fit)
Did he get the tactics wrong? we don't know because of Skrtel we're 1 down within 3 minutes, it's not as if we've been dire for 80 mins at 0-0 and he's done nothing then we've lost to late goals.

Why are you so desperate to defend the manager? I think that we have a talented squad, more than capable of beating a team like West Ham at home. They need direction and organisation, yesterday we were all over the place. Who is to blame for that? Ultimately the manager takes the blame, except when he deflects the blame onto his assistants.

I support LFC not Brendan Rodgers FC. I've always supported my club and always will. Brendan Rodgers is a bit-part player in the history of the club and he'll be gone soon.

PEOPLE PEOPLE ... we get a point a United .... very very doable and we have matched our points tally for that amazing 2013 / 2014 season for the first 5 games, beat them and we are 2 points ahead ... It was a bad day at the office ...A very soft red card, well theres no defending that it was just ****, every which way you look at it. Rodgers goodwill account is low ... he wont be allowed to have too many of those ... calm your tits ... if performances like that happen again ... he we be on his way ... we were always going to lose a game ... its happened .. we need to bounce back ... against teams who want to play football I fancy our chance ... teams who defend and hit on the break we still have not figured out a good plan ... why oh ****ing why did we not lump the ball to Benteke and have runners ... I mean these are exactly the kind of games we brought him on for...

Imo He's not good enough to be our manager but I still loved it when we got 7 from 9 in our first 3 games. I support the club, not the man in charge of it. The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

Why, after 3 seasons, has this manager not figured out the personnel or system to beat a team that sits back & defends?

                              He's too busy mentoring himself.

His obsession/blindspot with Skittles and Lovren will be his undoing. They're not footballers, at least not ones good enough to play for Liverpool. Rodgers is doing a lot of other things wrong as well but with better centre backs, such is the level of our rivals, he could probably muddle his way into the top 4.

                                Anyway I blame Pascoe.

                                Oh.
