Don't quite see how it's the manager's fault that Skrtel gifts them the 1st goal inside 3 minutes.
Nor how Lovren gifts them the 2nd.
Nor that Coutinho foolishly gets himself sent off.
Yes someone will argue that he picked them ergo it's his fault but all 3 played in the 3 preceding games where by and large we were solid (if unspectacular v Stoke & Bournemouth) and arguably played as well vs Arsenal as at any time since Spurs away 12 months before.
If he didn't make changes at 2 down everyone would slate him for that, maybe the changes would have worked if Coutinho hadn't got sent off.
Who knows. The King was back for a short while. Long live The King.

You/we blame the players - they're the ones who's basic, schoolboy individual errors cost us the game.Originally posted by TheElephantMan View PostSo many variables, how could we blame anyone?
Rodgers didn't get the team wrong (99% wanted the same team as v Arsenal with Hendo coming back in if fit)
Did he get the tactics wrong? we don't know because of Skrtel we're 1 down within 3 minutes, it's not as if we've been dire for 80 mins at 0-0 and he's done nothing then we've lost to late goals. The King was back for a short while. Long live The King.

Why are you so desperate to defend the manager? I think that we have a talented squad, more than capable of beating a team like West Ham at home. They need direction and organisation, yesterday we were all over the place. Who is to blame for that? Ultimately the manager takes the blame, except when he deflects the blame onto his assistants.

PEOPLE PEOPLE ... we get a point a United .... very very doable and we have matched our points tally for that amazing 2013 / 2014 season for the first 5 games, beat them and we are 2 points ahead ... It was a bad day at the office ...A very soft red card, well theres no defending that it was just ****, every which way you look at it. Rodgers goodwill account is low ... he wont be allowed to have too many of those ... calm your tits ... if performances like that happen again ... he we be on his way ... we were always going to lose a game ... its happened .. we need to bounce back ... against teams who want to play football I fancy our chance ... teams who defend and hit on the break we still have not figured out a good plan ... why oh ****ing why did we not lump the ball to Benteke and have runners ... I mean these are exactly the kind of games we brought him on for...Anybody who criticizes Klopp ever is a James Blunt. Nov 2015

The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

His obsession/blindspot with Skittles and Lovren will be his undoing. They're not footballers, at least not ones good enough to play for Liverpool. Rodgers is doing a lot of other things wrong as well but with better centre backs, such is the level of our rivals, he could probably muddle his way into the top 4.
Anyway I blame Pascoe.
Oh.
