I suppose you could, but I'm not bothered about other clubs.

Anyway, whatever their failings, Arsenal get top 4 every year without fail. That would be progress for us.

Spurs have had a million different managers, that's a different case to an individual who seemingly doesn't learn or improve.

And City, well as you say, they win titles.

After this international break there are two games per week, Rodgers will have twice as many games - double the number of teams he'll have to devise cunning plans to outwit. If we can't even beat West Ham at home then he's ****ed.
The very fact we have new back room team in place is even more reason to have some patience. We have lost at home in one game. I'd rather we had lost to arsenal and beat west ham but **** happens. The same west ham team won at Arsenal only 3 games previous. We have new players, new coaching team and so its going to take a while to see the benefit. A new manager will want their own players and coaching staff. Which means more transition. Regardless Rodgers is here for a while yet unless we go on a 4 or 5 game losing streak.

I lost patience with him last season. I don't want to sound like a Manc ****, but apart from the Stoke game we were very lucky in the other two games. Bournemouth should have beaten us and so should Arsenal - we benefited from poor refereeing decisions. For most of the first half against Arsenal we played very well, but during the other games we've been very poor. I would love to give the new coaching team some time, but I don't believe that we can keep doing this. My knee isn't jerking after a crap result, I believe we should have parted company after last season. We're stuck with this for another few months now.

We could easily have drawn or even lost at Stoke too. I think everyone overlooked the dogs dinner of a performance as the 6-1 was fresh in their minds.

I don't think you sound like a manc at all. I understand why so many had given up on him and I know once you have its almost impossible to get it back. I felt similar for houllier and benitez. I'm just trying to give a little balanced perspective. The only thing that will convince you that you were wrong is if we go on to have a good season. I get it. I really do.

might be over simplifying things (had a few beers ) but Suarez touched the club with greatness that season. Rodgers is getting **** all credit from me.

We'd all love for that to happen Bob. Nothing would give me greater satisfaction than seeing us challenge again and finish above the mancs. I don't think there's anyone on here that wants Rodgers to fail or takes enjoyment out of seeing him struggle. He's the manager of LFC and should be respected but he's his own worst enemy at times.

I gave him a load of praise last season for figuring out our problems. He switched to three at the back, Lucas back in the side, Sakho and Can either side of the back 3 and it worked. We weren't thrilling but we got results and went unbeaten for however long it was after the loss to United.

One defeat - against those *******s again, at home - and he ripped the whole thing up and went back to a stodgy 4-2-3-1 (I think) and it all fell apart again.

Today, chasing a game at 0-2 down, he goes to a back 3, but with full-backs in the wing-back roles, so 5 defenders on the pitch, plus Lucas and Milner who wasn't much further forward. What the ****?

I just.....I dunno.........I don't think he knows what he wants, he flits from one thing to another almost like.....like he's rolled a ****in dice or something. There is no clear plan.
During all the summer will he won't he. I wanted him gone because I was convinced he would rip it up and try and 4-3-3 / 4-2-3-1 formation and as soon as it went to **** he would switch and go with something else

Surprise surprise he's started with that formation

Today he switched formations to 3-5-2

This is what worries me about him, it's not only daft decisions like persisting with Lovren or Allen it's this ****

He's spent a fortune buying players to suit his system yet switches the system after 3.5 games. He's spent £12m on Clyne and tries to play him 2nd half as a wingback

                        It doesn't look good.

I always want us to win, well there were a few games under Hodgson where I wanted us to lose to speed up his departure. If Rodgers is winning games and not spouting rubbish then great. I like Clyne and Gomez and I think Milner was a good signing, still not sure about Firmino and Benteke. I think a good manager would have us playing decent football with the players available, I have been mostly unimpressed with our performances this season. Our inability to score goals and our defensive frailty still need to be addressed, Rodgers (when he doesn't have Suarez) doesn't seem to be capable of addressing those problems.

I think if some people are honest with themselves its got to the point or gone past the point where their dislike for him means they do want to see him fail. Short term failure could mean long term success under someone new. It's how I felt under houllier, I hated watching us, I really loathed him at the time. Although if he had turned it round I'd of been happy I guess, but it never happened!

I just haven't got to that point. I didn't like him to start with, but he grew on me and I want to see where we are after 3 months before fully judging him.

It's a difficult one when we go down to 10 men to get a formation that works what I found really confusing was why we needed 3 CBs and 2 full backs at 2-0 down when they had one up front. Stick with the back 4 but push the full backs forward and have the extra man in an attacking area. I would have played 4-3-2 with the full backs pushing on when possible to almost make it 2-5-2 rather than the 3-5-1 that at times seemed like 5-3-1
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

I find it difficult to believe that anybody could want the club to lose just cos they don't like the man in charge of it. I think he loves himself and I think he has little reason to plus he chats **** way too often. Imo He's not good enough to be our manager but I still loved it when we got 7 from 9 in our first 3 games. I support the club, not the man in charge of it. If he's ****e I want him out cos I don't want us being ****e. If he's not ****e I'm very happy cos the club isn't being ****e!
