This is exactly it. Just exactly what is our style? What is the methodology behind our football? 4 years in and I'm really none the wiser, and neither is Brendan by the look of things. Its all a bit of a hotchpotch really, there doesn't seem to be a long term plan, nothing seems to be evolving other than another season and new players to bed in because the last starting 11 weren't good enough. It all seems to be a bit like throwing random shapes at holes to see what fits in. I just get the feeling Brendan chooses the player first without thinking how he'll fit in.

Doesn't appear to be a plan, he changes formation all the ****ing time, subs don't make sense, some selections don't make sense, the players look lost, we don't create chances, we don't score goals.

Anyway, 4 games is 10% of the season and we are lucky to have 7 points from it.

Historically lots of us have complained that we never have a plan B, Rodgers has plans A-Z and he doesn't know which one is the best one and the players can't do any of them very well anyway.

He should **** off to the USA and have a go at American Football, he'd probably be perfect for that.

I think Rodgers has this season, if he doesn't manage the top 4 I fully expect a change.

I think he has until December, if it looks like we might not make the top 4 by then I'd expect him to be gone and Klopp put in charge.

This is thing that I was saying during the summer when a lot of people where saying we need to buy a certain type of player because he fits our system or that Benteke doesn't suit our style of play etc

We do not have a system, nor do we have a style of play. That was back in the Suarez days. Rodgers has been flip flopping through formations or systems, playing under performing players on a consistent basis & playing players in positions that don't suit. We are all over the place and have been for a long time. We have no style of play or plan. It seems a guessing game at times.

We have bought so many players over the last two seasons & I have absolutely no idea what the hell Rodgers is going to do with them..... I wonder if he knows himself.

I just need to get this off my chest even though it's obvious and we all know it.

I gave him a load of praise last season for figuring out our problems. He switched to three at the back, Lucas back in the side, Sakho and Can either side of the back 3 and it worked. We weren't thrilling but we got results and went unbeaten for however long it was after the loss to United.

One defeat - against those *******s again, at home - and he ripped the whole thing up and went back to a stodgy 4-2-3-1 (I think) and it all fell apart again.

Today, chasing a game at 0-2 down, he goes to a back 3, but with full-backs in the wing-back roles, so 5 defenders on the pitch, plus Lucas and Milner who wasn't much further forward. What the ****?

I just.....I dunno.........I don't think he knows what he wants, he flits from one thing to another almost like.....like he's rolled a ****in dice or something. There is no clear plan.

****ing hell, west ham won at Arsenal. Palace have just beaten the champions in their own back yard. On Monday night we were very good first half against Arsenal. Now it's all doom and gloom. Last season was last season. We have 7 points. Hardly any home teams have won this season so far. If he get smashed at utd then yes I'll be concerned. If we lose our next 3, then he's ****ed. But until then and considering we have just bought new players in, I'm all for a little patience. A bit of perspective. Sturridge is coming back and may be ****, get injured or score goals, thats something to look forward to.

Or just go back to watching when we are on TV and don't bother streaming all the games. I think that's the reason it doesn't affect me these days. I don't see much of the **** football.

even if it does cost in excess of £160 million to implement.

It certainly doesn't inspire confidence in the manager when he keeps making the same mistakes, playing players out of position or sticking with players who are clearly not up to the job. The LFC job is the biggest he will ever have but I'm afraid he's not up to the job.

An LFC manager should never ever be learning on the job and certainly shouldn't have only 1 season in top flight football. I only hope FSG realise the importance of having someone with a proven track record of managing top teams and winning things.

Having 1 season in the top flight and a dodgy dossier shouldn't be the basis of managing LFC.

A Liverpool manager should never persevere with utter garbage like Dejan Lovren - I think he actually is the worst defender I have ever seen played regularly for Liverpool.

We all knew it was a disaster waiting to happen, sure enough...

We've been largely terrible and this is because he's persisting with players that either just aren't up to it or are out of form. Bournemouth should have beaten us at Anfield too already. Plus he's won **** all so doesn't really have a lot of credit in the bank of goodwill.

It's all hope....it's what he did last season. I've seen it all the way from ****e Sunday league or to top flight football.. When a managers lost the plot they try everything anything in the hope something works. You mentioned the three at the back last season.....personally I felt it was more luck than design and I think I even said so at the time, iirc we were in a position where for that first game or two, the only real option he had was to play three at the back...it worked and he stuck with it.

Another thing u mention and this is where for me you know the game is up, it was the same towards the end of bot houllier and benitezs, time.....bizarre subs and changes that no one can fathom making one sub, but four changes to the side sort of thing.

Personally, i really didn't know whether or not to sack him, but the way we ended last season, the players looked like they had stopped playing for him and for that reason I thought he was gone.

Today was just like those performances which is the major worry.
