Thanjk you.

Not too dissimilar to how Mourinho would laud his players though. He gets asked a question and he gives an assessment. Bill Shankly used expletives as well, remember Ron Yeats?
Mourinho is a total cunt though
Bob Paisley - "This club has been my life. I'd go out and sweep the street and be proud to do it for Liverpool if they asked me to."

Yeah but his assessment is usually 'outstanding'. He did actually use it again to describe Clyne.
Rodgers is not wrong though - Clyne is currently England's best right-back.
Anyway, it's a day of press conferences for the upcoming league fixtures where Rodgers will be asked questions and quite frankly, it would be rude not to reply. No doubt he will have been asked about how we are yet to concede a league goal and he will have talked about our defence. It's not as if he's gone around Liverpool looking to shout out positives from the top of the tallest building to anybody that is willing to listen.
Also, Rodgers will know what makes Clyne tick; Clyne may respond positively to a stroke of the ego just like some players will respond to a kick up the arse. At the end of the day, it reads like you're having a pop at Rodgers over nothing.

Yep, lets not forget that Hodgson preferred Phil Jones to Clyne at RB in England's last game so another reason a bit of public support isn't a bad thing. But yeah, lacks humility, cunt, arrogant, outstanding etc etc.
Some bellends on here will still be whining about what he said in his interview when we win the ****ing league!

Maxiedge, it's a bit of a strange remark that you've made innit?! It's ****ing brilliant having two excellent fullbacks in the team. They've both been excellent signings and Rodgers has said nothing wrong or untrue.
I'm not going to lie Nige, I find his lack of humility quite annoying when things are going well.
The word I'm looking for escapes me now, but he does over-state any positives to the point where it gets nauseating.
Hubris? If he was in the States, people would love him. People from the UK and Australia are more reserved and suffer from tall poppy syndrome, at least from the Australia understanding of the phrase -
"The tallest flowers in the field will be cut down to the same size as all the others. This is sometimes misunderstood...It isn't success that offends Australians. It's the affront committed by anyone who starts to put on superior airs."
