The 13/14 credit ran out a long time ago. He should have walked after the 6-1

No, nor do I plan to.

I was following the game on the BBC website at work, when I finished the sun was shining and stevie wonders superstition came on the playlist on my way home, I turned it up,smiled and decided at that point no match of the day for me. I cracked open a bottle of cahors french wine and watched argo with the wife. Football? It ain't worth it. Life has so many other pleasures to enjoy.

Can't argue with any of those decisions...

It's an odd situation, this is very much his squad, by my count there are only 4 players in the squad signed by other managers (Henderson, Lucas, Skrtel and Enrique), but we still have no idea about the system we are going to play. So what is he thinking? He developed a side that almost won the title, however that is more and more looking like it was down to Suarez. As Shaggy mentioned he has developed methods to solve our problems last season, but as good as his sides can be they can also be awful. On paper we have a very good squad, but it is putting in some fairly inept performances. I think that his sides need to play a high tempo pressing game, that is the only thing that seems to get them playing well, when we don't press we have nothing. I know it is very energetic game and will tire the players but I don't see any other way of playing.
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

              true.

Although I'm in the managers thread not the post match thread.

Thinking back to Rodger's 1st game 3 years ago, a 3-0 defeat away to West Brom.
Our performance was characterised by defensive howlers and an absolute walkthrough of a midfield which couldnt get a hold of the game.

3 full seasons later and we're still regularly seeing these types of performances, bar that 18 month period when we had Suarez and Sturridge to outscore our problems.

You could throw similar accusations about most clubs. Arsenal have been weak in the middle for over ten years now. They always fall apart away from home when it matters. Spurs never learn either, always the bridesmaids. City never learn either, they win the league then sign no one and then lose their title, they then spend, win it back and repeat.

All of those clubs regularly finish above Liverpool though - and they were clubs who used to strive to reach Liverpool's standard

I don't think I've recovered from the season in which we essentially blew the league title. Ashmed to say it but that memory taints my every opinion of Rodgers and this current Liverpool set up. Its Like I'd imagine a sinned party in a marriage would react. You know your other half has royally ****ed up but you cant, no matter how much you try, forgive them.

For me, the midfield balance is the biggest issue. Too many similiar players and zero balance. It's just not functioning.

Even the season we finished second the defence was a shambles. If the defence had have been sorted we'd have won the league. It wasn't that Chelsea game that cost us. It was the shameful defending. Nothing has changed and with lovren it's got worse in fact.

Rodgers should have taken the bullet during the summer instead of allowing his assistants to be his scapegoats. The new coaching team have bought him a bit of time, the owners would look pretty stupid sacking him now. I don't know what it will take for the owners to consider getting rid of him, he must have been very close after last season surely? After this international break there are two games per week, Rodgers will have twice as many games - double the number of teams he'll have to devise cunning plans to outwit. If we can't even beat West Ham at home then he's ****ed.

So you blame him for ****ing it up rather than giving him credit for getting so close? Then there is no way he can ever come back from that for you.

I was gutted that they sacked Kenny back in 2012, we'd (just barely) won the League cup and lost out to Chelsea in the FA. But that run in where we lost meekly at home to Wigan, Spurs and Villa together with CHAD made me think that, OK, maybe we needed a change. But I was anticipating a change up.

What, now that Luis has gone, has Brendan actually improved since then? We've spunked a shedload of cash on bang average players and potential that are loaned out and/or sold at a massive loss.

Seems to me like FSG are about as stubborn as Brendan when it comes to admitting they've bought a turkey.
