I'm not even gonna blame him for today's defending, cause I don't think any of that was his fault, but he's in charge of a team that clearly doesn't work. And some of the results he's served us with have been among the absolute worst in last ten years. Regularly losing points against newly promoted sides, suddenly turning the likes of West Ham, Crystal Palace and Stoke into our rivals, that ****in 1-6 and today 0-3 at home...

And don't tell me this is knee jerk or whatever, this has been going on since last year and despite a decend point return so far this season, it's really ****in hard to see any of that change.

The entertainment we'd get from his press conferences alone would be legitimate reason to bring him in. Shame Balotelli left, can you imagine Moyesie saying Balotelli in an Italian accent ??

I've said this in the post match thread but IMO Rodgers sides only do well when they press the opposition constantly, as we did at Arsenal, as we did in the year we finished 2nd, as we have done in various other games when we played well, last year on our decent run.

When we don't press the side has nothing, no drive, no desire, nothing, we just play like we are waiting for something to happen rather than trying to make it happen.
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

the usual suspects out after our first defeat.

Surely best to give it a few weeks and possible defeats before jumping in? No that one game proves I was right in the summer, that's the attitude lads.

This result was far worse than the Stoke one in so many ways. The Stoke game was an end of season meaningless fixture away from home.

This was a home game at the beginning of the season when we wanted to go into the international break with momentum on our side.

                What happened about "fortress Anfield"?

I know what happened today, everything went wrong and nothing went right. But I've no idea why it happened. It was the same line up that played so well against Arsenal!

To be honest pretty much every post is of complete disillusion. We've performed well for 45 mins this season.

Questioning the issues that have been prevalent for a long time doesn't make you less of a supporter.

It is certainly possible that Brendan can turn it round, but who would bet on it? We've lost a lot of games when you factor in last season, and it feels as likely we will go on a bad run as a good one, particularly if the manager persists with certain doomed selection policies.

This "I support Liverpool better than you do" **** is insufferably childish.

So what if some people are on a downer after 4 wins in 15 games or whatever? Its legitimate reason to feel pissed off with the manager, especially after they look no different after spending yet another fortune on players.

Its plain to see that the players (other than Lovren) aren't the problem.

some people on here seem to think that if you don't share their views then you shouldn't say anything. It's perfectly reasonable to express our opinions amongst ourselves on a football forum, we're all Liverpool supporters. Except me because obviously I'm a Manc ****.

That's a first. I've been called a few things on here but never had the pleasure of that.

Shame on anyone throwing insults like that around here.

The level of anger toward Rodgers by the fanbase after one defeat really does reflect how he's on such thin ice. Is this what we're going to get after every defeat? I wanted him gone at the end of last season, but even I'm surprised at the reaction, as normally, it'd be written off as a freak game and a bad day at the office.

I expected seven points after our first four fixtures and anything else was a bonus. Today, the players have let him down. Rodgers has to shoulder some of the blame for insisting on playing Lovren, but his game plan will have been out of the window in the third minute; A Lovren brain fart and a Coutinho sending off didn't help in the slightest.

That tweet about our league wins over the last 13 games is just typical of people finding a stick to beat Rodgers with. It's not a true reflection of our current predicament.

My initial reaction was centred around this:

So if we concede first you may aswell write the points off.
Other than the drive of Milner today, none of our players stood up to take the game on.

So we hardly ever win when we concede 1st. Sack all the players!

Before the start of the season I'd have taken 7 points from the opening fixtures but disappointed to not have more now we're actually here. Last season is largely irrelvant now, we need to pick ourselves up quickly and get back to winning games.

I think Rodgers has this season, if he doesn't manage the top 4 I fully expect a change.
