This is the point I was trying to make the other day, there's little margin of error - he has no leeway. He's under immense pressure because as soon as he loses a game or two the fans will turn against him as is evident today. I said that his support is very fragile, it's not a healthy situation for the players. If he can get a result against United then he's afforded himself the tiniest amount of breathing space until he loses again.

The only progression we've seen at the club is with the squad, however, there's not one person on this forum that would've failed to improve the squad with the best part of £300m over 4 years.Originally posted by Leyton388 View PostCan anyone really say there has been progression under Rodgers?
Is there anything that you can point to that gives confidence that he's the right man for the job?
He's in his fourth year at the club and every year the game plan changes. It's like he goes from one extreme to another and repeats the same mistakes time and time again. We've just paid a near club record fee for a striker and he looks as isolated and lost up top as mario did last season.
Rodgers to me is no different to the likes of Keegan as a manager. Every once in a while it all clicks and looks good, then it all goes pear shaped and the manager looks lost. I just don't think he's particularly good, far more in tune with the likes of Southampton and Swansea than he is with Liverpool. We may not be the top tier club we once were, but there's very few sides out there that could've financed transfers the way we have during his tenure.
We need a new manager, one with pedigree, one with a winning mentality who knows what it takes to win. Klopp would be perfect if we insist on employing one of the new breed.SakhoPotatoes

Maybe it's because we've been listless for a good while going back into last season. The wins thus far, plus Ramsey's disallowed goal, have covered Rodgers arse so far but the football has been atrocious viewing (45 mins at the Emirates aside). This wasn't a bad day at the office, this was reverting to type.
He just isn't up to the job.

Went out at 2-0 and only just came in, I'm not sure what to say really, I wanted him out in the summer, I've been trying to not be very critical of him of late but this really is not going to end well. Every time something goes well, he goes off and waxes lyrical about this and that and it usually bites him in the arse, before this game he was praising our outstanding defenders, Lovren and Clyne specially, lo and behold we concede 3 at home to West Ham who haven't scored at Anfield for years, and who were ridiculed after their last game.
The second half tactics were weird and naive, he seems to have to picture of himself as an tactics expert but he's constantly outclassed by Premier League managers. He'll go before christmas, we're only delaying the inevitable and using up precious time.* The above is posted in my opinion. Feel free to disagree.

FSG need to be bold and ambitious if they appoint a new manager.
