Come on, Marsh, not everyone is as literal as you.
You're pretty unimaginative, even by duck standards.
. Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.
I think his style of play will suit a top team and it won't be long before we are controlling games.
However, I think we'll still have a fair few frustrating results next season. Us dominating games hasn't exactly been redundant in the premiership years.
What has been missing in recent times are the creative players to break down the flat banks of four. Even Spain & Barca struggle at times to open up a disciplined back 4, so that shows the sort of quality needed if we are to seriously challenge.
It's a great viewing spectacle but it isn't foolproof and like any system it is only as successful as the weakest link in the team.
I hope we get it together quickly as we have some tough games early doors. I guess the competitive games early on may assist. But getting players late from the Euros will be tough.
One thing I have noticed about the spanish team and their tiki taka football is that because they move the ball around so quickly from player to player the opposition really cant pressure the ball at all.
If a player is on the ball for one or two seconds its nigh on impossible to pressure him properly. You have to go man for man and which will definitely open up space on the pitch as players will have to follow their designated man.
One lapse in concentration and a small gap can become a cavern. It will be interesting to see if we can implement that and get close enough to their final third to bring teams out to press.

Buzzo theres good and bad in everyones life. We have to be prepared for both. for people like you and me you have to look over the full lifespan to make any judgement. For footballers its much more simple because they remain in their jobs for a maximum of fifteen years or thereabouts. So looking at someone like raheem sterling it would be from age 18 to 32 or 33.
You need an exact time of birth to start the analysis because the cycles can be out by a month for every five mins the birthtime is out
The interesting thing is that nobody rules forever. its arguable that rodgers hasnt hit any decent achievement cycles because as a player he didnt do a lot. So it could be that his best period has yet.to come. The americans said one thing that really hits home. The trick to good recruitment is finding people who are on the upward curve and not on the way down. This theory.definitely does that.
Buzzo I will.have.another look at your stuff and pm something across.
