I think he did seem kind if deflated to be honest and who can blame him really. He wanted 20 goals from midfield, we didn't get Henry M. He wanted goals from wide positions, we missed out on Willian. No experienced CB to add to Toure etc etc.

The most heart breaking thing is the idea that we have been "too ambitious".

Clearly we have not been able to make the big move we wanted to. But other players in the market were better placed and even some of them have not be able to do so (see Arsenal).

Yeah it's strange how most top 7 English sides seem to be struggling, apart from Spurs but then they apparently have £90m coming anyway.

Last few days are going to be carnage, probably with players that you wouldnt think are available going.

He sanctioned the deals but his negotiating team has failed so far to deliver players that will strengthen the areas were we are weak.

I think Brendans doing an excellent job, if he keeps this up for a couple more years, he could be in with a serious shout of getting the Spurs job.

I watched the interview too. In my opinion he didn't seem confident in bringing in the kind of players he wants. He looked rather anxious and not his normal self. As I say that's just opinion, I'm not a body language expert.
