I know of an excellent Expresso blend. Passes really well, leaves a great touch and is mobile enough so it can be evacuated very quickly with no physical strain on the oesophagus. Technically it's one for purists.Originally posted by danperkins View PostWell one things for sure.. our midfield blend certainly doesn't work. Not mobile, quick or physical enough. Technically lacking too when comes to short shape passing & retaining posession. Are we winning?

Football is about finding a blend of players that work well together. not having 11 top, top players.
You only need to see some of the dross that've won the League at Man United to see that.
Prime example:
Wes Brown Career Honours:
JURGEN KLOPP - LIVERPOOL MANAGER

our issues in midfield have been there a very long time. it could be that the defensive side of midfield isnt a priority for BR as if it was it would have been sorted by now.Originally posted by danperkins View PostWell one things for sure.. our midfield blend certainly doesn't work. maybe he sees other areas as being more important than the midfield whereas for most people midfield is the key area of the pitch.
if you dominate the middle of the park you tend to dominate the game. but our midfield has been pretty rubbish for a while now.
people saying that lucas, hendo, allen and gerrard are all **** are wrong. its a tactical issue rather than a personnel one.[B]Sir Isaac Newton knew the universal law of karma - any action has its equal and opposite reaction.[B]

Does show you don't need a team of superstars though

hence already means 'which is why', dane, so use either one or the other:
my teacher is boring, hence no-one likes taking her class
my teacher is boring, which is why no-one likes taking her class
our back line worries me, hence agger is vital
our back line worries me, which is why agger is vital
the version with "which is why" is much commoner than hence, which is a formal word rarely heard in everyday conversation.dave of mutilation

Its not tactical as such in my opinion mate. We don't have as strong squad as others and key injuries have really weakened us defensively and effected our solidity. Rodgers has got the tactics wrong on times but personnel for me is the most pressing issue.Originally posted by el matador View Postour issues in midfield have been there a very long time. it could be that the defensive side of midfield isnt a priority for BR as if it was it would have been sorted by now.

In saying that with Johnson and Enrique back in the first team we ll have a much better starting 11...bring Agger and coutinho in and it's a strong 11. But there is a blatant absence of a dominant physical presence in there that should have been addressed. Wanyama would have been perfect
