Have a long think about that comment. If you don't like to see one of our two most hated rivals fail (at least initially) then I'd say check your blood pressure....... I couldn't really give 2 ****s about them this year, but I'm entitled to have a laugh at their expenseOriginally posted by TheElephantMan View PostIs that what links are for? Two of my best mates support United. But there no issue. I don't get on their backs after a defeat for them.Forwards.......

I think it is a basketball team actually, St Pats is the name of the school that Brendan went to in Ballymena and they are pretty big into basketball.Originally posted by McDermotX View Post

Must be from his GAA days judging from the St Pat's.
The fact that they are all wearing basketball kits is another reason why I believe it is a basketball team

Could be alright.......he did play the GA at school by all accounts, and while the outfits look more akin to a running team more than anything, it's a team picture so that would be basketball.
But if it's basketball, why would it be an outside picture after some tournament win ?
Methinks it's either a school basketball photo done the next school day, and they were told get stripped into their getup as it'll look good in the sun, or another team sport woefully provided for in the uniform stakes (which sounds like GAA
) and they were told to remove their boots (or they couldn't afford them).
Either way, we're not leaving the forum until it's resolved.......we'll stay all night if we have to."I will make the boys feel your support"

Patrick Barclay: Looks like Liverpool have their new Bill Shankly..and he could be better than Jose Mourinho
It’s all about timing, isn’t it? Ask the clowns who, shortly before Manchester United gave the clearest hint yet that David Moyes might be able to meet his great challenge, hired a plane to fly over Old Trafford trailing a derisive message.
And ask the raucous hordes who, at Anfield the next day, hailed Liverpool’s indication that the task facing Moyes might not be so markedly different from Alex Ferguson’s nearly three decades ago.
In order to be judged a success at United, according to the indelible myth surrounding Ferguson, he had to knock Liverpool off their perch. Now, after 24 years without an English title, Liverpool are ready to rule again. Brendan Rodgers’ team showed it with a 4-0 victory over Spurs, dazzling as so often in the second half of this vintage season, mocking the notion that the finishing tape might unnerve them.
Win their remaining matches and Liverpool are champions. The same is true of Manchester City — they have eight left, two more than the Reds — and Manuel Pellegrini’s men also have the relative luxury of knowing that even a draw at Anfield the weekend after next might be enough to swing the decision their way.
But who would bet against Liverpool and the uncrowned Footballer of the Year, Luis Suarez?
No matter how it turns out, they are going to figure among the Premier League’s major forces again.
That much has been obvious since the latter stages of last season, despite the trauma caused by Suarez, in his earlier incarnation, biting Chelsea’s Branislav Ivanovic and incurring the suspension that caused him to miss the start of this campaign.
The redemption tale nears completion. But, if there is one man who has changed the club’s fortunes, it is not Suarez, even though the Uruguayan might shortly be recognised as the best footballer ever to don the red shirt.
That man is Rodgers. Less than a decade after studying under Jose Mourinho at Chelsea, he threatens to eclipse the master — though once again we may be getting slightly ahead of ourselves, given that Mourinho, too, must take his side to Anfield, two weeks after City.
As long as Rodgers stays on Merseyside, however, the likelihood will remain that Liverpool have their new Bill Shankly, just as United found their new Matt Busby when Ferguson came south from Aberdeen in the autumn of 1986.
Rodgers, unlike Ferguson, has not been required to conduct serious changes in the squad. He may have to do next season, in order to cope with the twin challenge of domestic football and Champions League, but for now it has been largely a case of getting the best out of inherited assets.
The main exception has been Daniel Sturridge, whose speed of foot and brain he traded for Andy Carroll’s power (making a profit). But not all of Kenny Dalglish’s signings have been discarded by any means.
Jordan Henderson, of whom Rodgers’ early opinion was not favourable, has developed into a midfielder of intelligence as well as athleticism.
Young Raheem Sterling will also be with the England party at the World Cup this summer, along with Steven Gerrard who, for me, has played the finest football of his life under Rodgers, organising the team on the field much as Roy Keane used to run United for Ferguson.
Vincent Kompany, the City captain, is a deservedly popular footballer and, if he brandishes the Premier League trophy on May 11, there will be no shortage of neutrals offering congratulations. However, Gerrard is a one-club man and, while he did try to leave for Chelsea at least once, even Tom Finney would once have entertained a move (to Palermo).
Gerrard has waited a long time for his career’s fulfilment and must channel his excitement for just six more matches. For Moyes and United, the ascent to the perch may take a little longer. What do you mean it could've been anyone? Name me one person who's got a grudge against penguins
