Which goes to pot if we keep conceding goals. We always look like we will give a goal away at some point in the game. Just look at how many defensive mistakes have cost us this season? The defence needs work imo. I honestly think we have never replaced Hyppia who was the rock.Originally posted by Nigey View PostOur game is based on possession.

Rodgers: He is new to the club and he needs to work hard and get results to get the praise of fans. He works hard and that's definitely a good start.
But as far as being someone who will be here for the long term, of course the jury is out. In fairness it will be that until he wins the premier league, such is the ambition of the fans.
Posts in this thread: There is no better way to look like a tit on the net than to be one of those who have to have the last word. Even Craig, who was very good at arguing his point and avoided personal remarks, came across as a bit of a sad cunt at times. Lesson for us all there........Forwards.......

He's right though, he's completely different to Rafa.
Rodgers is really touchy feely for a start. Where Rafa was the opposite, Rafa had a more orginised team that was built from the back, and Rodgers passes around a lot.
Think Rodgers will be okay, just not a decent comparison.
The times they are a changin'.

The key with any system is to stick with it if its working, regardless of any short term setbacks. So if you're in control of a game, don't revert to another system just because you concede.Originally posted by Leyton388 View PostWhich goes to pot if we keep conceding goals. Controlling a game by possession doesn't mean our game goes to pot if we concede. It's the same as any system. Concede and the opposition will attack less, draw you onto them and generally become more solid. They'll play on the counter and if you gamble you'll be vulnerable.Forwards.......

With regards our system.
I agree with some if the comments already made, our midfield lacks dynamism. Whoever we stick in there, Gerrard, Allen, Shelvey, Sahin or Suso, they're just not dynamic. Even with Lucas in there, I don't see one of them charging forward and causing havoc through sheer force of will.
Shelvey is the closest I guess. Henderson has the energy, but lacks the shooting ability and strength, like a Gerrard of old or a Yaya Toure.
We have the small & nimble players, but we need a bit of a powerhouse in there sometimes I think.Forwards.......

Its been a difficult start for rodgers. Only 2 wins in 11 is pretty poor but there are winnable games coming up.
The problem is to win you need to score goals and we dont look like getting many.
Anyone seen an explanation as to why suarez was celebrating by himself without anyone near him. Thats probably one of the oddest things ive seen at lfc. Very strange.[B]Sir Isaac Newton knew the universal law of karma - any action has its equal and opposite reaction.[B]
