No its notOriginally posted by el matador View PostThis place is turning into rawk.
Edit: Not unless you mean in terms of people being dicks to each other. Are they dicks to each other on rawk?I could not dig, I dared not rob:
Therefore I lied to please the mob.
Now all my lies are proved untrue
And I must face the men I slew.
What tale shall serve me here among
Mine angry and defrauded young?

I find some of the people here tend to think they're somehow superior to others and they're really not. Some of the recent comments in this thread are so childish it's pathetic.
Anyway, I suppose some people are losing some patience with Rodgers and some people are happy to allow him as much time as he needs. I think most sensible people fall somewhere inbetween. I feel that he should be making more progress than he has, but I'm prepared to wait to see how this season pans out. Whatever the more positive people think there is definitely a requirement to succeed this season, it would be totally unacceptable for us to finish in the bottom half of the table with a view to a longer term development strategy. We need to be successful to attract decent additional players and Brendan Rodgers doesn't exactly have the contacts or the ability to appeal to top quality footballers like Rafa had. We need to start winning games otherwise Rodgers will be another management casualty.

It's a prediction thread on a wish list.

Any defensive midfield player participating in circulating the ball is effectively part of the problem because hes always on the move. That applies to lucas as well.Originally posted by The Birdman View PostFWIW I agree with some of what Lec is saying but it's definetely not as simplistic as 'getting us organised defensively'
In other systems yep, under Hodgson it was achieved very quickly and it's not rocket science, tuck your full backs in, don't leave too much space in behind, always have a holding midfielder and get your wide midfielders to tuck in and work back.
Ridiculously simple stuff.
Under Rodgers and this is the part that some struggle with, we aren't poor defensively - as a stand alone defensive unit with Wisdom at RB and Johnson LB we are actually quite solid, where we struggle and this is where I agree with Lec is in the transition phases, we are poor defensively when we lose possession and that is because his system is set up on a rotation of positions, if we (normally Gerrard or Suarez) give a careless pass away that leaves several players out of position and we get punished.
Lucas will solve some of that, a greater understanding of the system and the triggers within our possession which will get better every week will improve it also.
I honestly have to say I don't get the criticism of Rogers from anyone, he became manager of a piss poor PL team that had just wasted £80 million.
If, and it's a massive if because IMO this time next season we will be a lot better but if Christmas time next season we're still struggling then start to have a look why but again my opinion based on what I have seen is that we will be top 6 minimum next season, pushing top 4 the season after that.
A couple of tweaks and I think we could be doing a lot better.[B]Sir Isaac Newton knew the universal law of karma - any action has its equal and opposite reaction.[B]

Christmas Eve:Originally posted by Phoenix07 View PostThere's only one time when this place turns into RAWK. Guess when...
A lot of people run a race to see who is fastest. I run to see who has the most guts, who can punish himself into exhausting pace, and then at the end, punish himself even more.

Great thread.
