We have found our level in the premiership - 12th is probably about right and unless there's a dramatic improvement I can't see us finishing much higher than that. If we finish 12th would that be considered acceptable? I know we're in transition, but we're Liverpool FC. I'd expect top 8 at least and really we should be challenging for the top four. I hope things change soon, but we're just as frustrating as we were under Dalglish and Hodgson - perhaps even more so. The lack of end product is a serious issue which has not been addressed. We could purchase a top striker in January, equally Suarez could be sidelined with injury or a suspension. It's difficult to be positive about our situation at the moment.

Our problem is creation, half our chancea are created because Suarez has taken about 5 players on. Rodgers won't change his formation so he needs to alter the way the players play.
Laudrup has done it to the Swansea team that Brendo laid the foundations for, i think maybe some of the thinking behind playing Borini out wide was that he would tuck into the box when the ball went to the other wing (which to be fair he did)
We've missed Borini actually imo.The times they are a changin'.

I think, looking past the results he's not done too badly. If we'd have not been robbed by Everton we'd be 4 points off 4th which would be by no means a disaster.
He's been ****ed over by the owners with the whole striker situation which has left us really thin up front.
He's done some really good work with the younger players, say what you like but under Kenny we saw Downing turn out week in week out and that was with Maxi on the bench. Sterling and Suso both start (rightly) over him.
He's made it clear who he see's as the teams future and who would just be here for the ride.
This is the START, come January he can continue to develop our squad. A striker HAS to come in and it could even be 2.
Next summer we'll have probably moved on Carroll, Spearing and whoever else doesn't prove their value in the meantime.
Personally I feel very comfortable with the idea of him having £30m+ to spend.Vive la France

Its hard to tell because I don't think I've seen enough of him to know what his performances would be like against the likes of Norwich and reading now. Jury is definitely still out though. It would good to have him as another option up there at least.Trey Nyoni: countdown to stardom-2 years1year0.5 years

We've certainly missed our wide men getting in the box when the ball is on the other flank, which we could always count on Borrini to do... Think that was euros in fairness, but still clearly not an insignificant amount of moneyOriginally posted by Lecter View PostThink you have to remember that he has spent £12-13 million on Borini
Edit, just checked; €13.3m.
No doubt the €0.3m was the overpayment that Shaggy was responsible for.
