Borini has been injured and played just 5 league games. Kuyt was more experienced and a better developed player.Originally posted by Lecter View PostAnd Rodgers has a more experienced Shelvey, he has Allen instead of Spearing & Poulsen and has Sahin for Meireles
Hes bought Borini as replacement for Kuyt
I dont think there is as much of a difference as some are suggesting frankly
Shelvey is still raw
Lucas has played 1 league game this season.
We have no Maxi
Allen is not a holding player.
We are reliant on youth at present and that is a major issue, we were not at that time.
The squad now is thinner and younger and does not have the players to score in it like Kuyt, Maxi or even N'gog.

Aye, and they utterly destroyed us under Roy.Originally posted by Alex View Post
Ohh well.
City were **** that season though.

Why are we even comparing Brendan to Roy?
I couldn't give a **** if Roy got 30points from the first 10 games, the fact that Brendan hasnt got the vultures circling after such a **** start is
A) A credit to Liverpool fans who see is vision and are Patient
or
B) Brendan's NLP Skills and Bull****ability.
Until Brendan starts rubbing his face on the touchline and sucking his smints, I don't see the need to make any comparison._____________________________________
Weak willed, Wank or do they have a masterplan?

I think he is being given time because everyone is so fed up with the constant change. I just want a manager here who is going to be allowed to implement his system, and get in the players he wants for a year or 2. Not someone who is here for 6 or 18 months and then hoicked off because its not working out.
Rodgers will be given 2 years minimum. Which is the least he deserves after the mess he inherited.*Except Michael, who died.

Irrespective of the strength of the squad (and I still disagree there is that much difference) Rodgers is a better manager than Roy (who isnt frankly) so I would expect him to get more out of players than Roy was capable of
I'm disappointed in the return we have got from Rodgers and I again point to what other managers are getting out of lesser squads (West Ham & West Brom)
I'm not saying sack him by any means but I'm nowhere near as optimistic as some of the other assessments on hereBob Paisley - "This club has been my life. I'd go out and sweep the street and be proud to do it for Liverpool if they asked me to."

If we'd stuck with the same formation we'd be doing better for a while but the tactics would tell after a while much like they will with those over achieving clubs.Originally posted by Lecter View Post

This is a totally different way of playing so yes I'd fully expect us to be average with the odd great game. Was muß, das muß.

For someone with a good deal of knowledge, that's a crap opinion. Since when has November been sufficient time to make a decision about a manager who is supposedly a long term appointment? I'd understand if there was disquiet at the club and he was making rash decisions, but he isn't. His methodology is precise and calculated, and he's standing by his decisions.Originally posted by Lecter View Post
11 ****ing league games. Shame on you

We're moving in the right direction, that's what matters. How can't you be optimistic? We were never going to witness instant results as we haven't strengthened the squad enough.Originally posted by Lecter View PostPoulsen wasnt even a footballer and Spearing isnt a holding player either

I will say again
I dont want him sacked anytime soon
Thats not to say I am jumping through hoops over what I see on the pitch now
For me its far from what we should be achieving
And yes he will be given more time because of the large number of changes over the last few yearsLast edited by Lecter; 12-11-12, 03:56 PM.Bob Paisley - "This club has been my life. I'd go out and sweep the street and be proud to do it for Liverpool if they asked me to."
