Apart from Sigurdsson (now at Tottenham), I can only think of Sinclair (now at Man City), Ashley Williams (previously linked) and possibly Neil Taylor.

Was wondering that. And obviously Michu wouldn't have been an option. Bit worrying if true, a total lack of imagination and too much reliance on comfort signings. I get Joe Allen, Borini was a bit of a punt, but any more from Swansea would be one too many IMO. There is no one else at Swansea who is a potential Liverpool player.

Sounds like our wonderful saviours apear to think they know more about football and the value of players rather than the manager they employed who was "their man"

Like you said if Ayre and co are blocking him then he will not last long here if results keep going against us and he is not allowed to being in the players he wants.

On the other hand i can see where FSG are coming from after the mess Kenny left having spent a fortune.

Vorm's a good shout, i know Reina has not been playing that well but imo it'd be folly to waste money on a GK when the position is fairly well covered and others (especially DM and Left back) should be prioritised.

Doesn't read well if these comments are true, surely a manager who are judged on results needs to be allowed to bring the players they want in. I get it if the budget isn't there we can't bring players in but buying players he doesn't really want is just crazy.
