Haven't seen it, but from reading that isn't he just saying that ideally it wouldn't have been necessary to have brought on so many at many at once?Originally posted by captainfog View PostJust watched the west brom press conference and he contradicted himself. He started by saying we're in transition because we signed loads of players and we needed them all because our squad was so weak, but then he says ideally he would have kept the same squad and just added one or two others to strengthen the squad..

i agree completely. When you consider what those plebs up the M62 spent on Luke Shaw, then Moreno would have been cheap at double the price.....Originally posted by Lecter View PostThe £12m on Moreno looks a steal
Lovren I think is terrible, Sakho I havent quite given up on yet
I do think though, that if Sakho and Lovren don't quite work out (or at least one of them needs to form a good pairing with Skrtel or another) then what does Brendan and his committee do??? Go back to FSG for another £40m for another 2 players???
Flanagan got in to the team last season due to injuries. I think had Wisdom or Ilori stayed at anfield this season, then it's wouldnt be crazy to think that either one of them would have got a chance to stake their claim ahead of Skrtel, Lovren or Sakho. If Kolo wasn't such a fockin nut-job, then he could have made a place his own.....

No it was when he was talking about Suarez, the inference being that had we held on to Suarez we would have just brought in a couple of faces to strenthen the squad.Originally posted by Pepe79 View PostHaven't seen it, but from reading that isn't he just saying that ideally it wouldn't have been necessary to have brought on so many at many at once?

WTF is that supposed to be? I don't get it - is that what passes for humour on redcafe?
I honestly find it quite staggering that some supposed fans are actually questioning Rodgers' position already. Nobody really on here yet but they were already out on the radio etc the other night. Sure people are disappointed at our start, but one of the big reasons for this is because our expectations were so raised by last season during which we massively over-performed and were way ahead of schedule, Suarez or no Suarez.
So we've made significant changes and some of them have struggled to start well, Brendan has some serious work to do but we have every reason to think he can get it right again and no real cause whatsoever to think he won't. He gave us the best, most outright enjoyable season we've had in yonks yet as soon as things get tough the naysayers crawl out of the woodwork. Pisses me off.I could not dig, I dared not rob:
Therefore I lied to please the mob.
Now all my lies are proved untrue
And I must face the men I slew.
What tale shall serve me here among
Mine angry and defrauded young?

Brendan has made some errors in games this season but I think its because he is still trying to figure out the best approach going forward
Questioning his position is ridiculous though, makes me laugh

I'm getting so pissed off with lads in work informing me how **** Liverpool are. I'm constantly pointing out that it's early days, new players etc. Brendan is no fool, he'll get it right.I love Sarah

Well I suppose... though I'm not sure why a LFC fan would repost it?Originally posted by McDermotX View PostMust be................guess it's no different than some of the stuff peddled on LFC sites over the last couple seasons.
I bet they weren't posting our stuff there.
Makes no sense anyway, there's **** all similarity between Rodgers and Moyes. After all, Rodgers isn't the chosen one....
