    you've changed.

I haven't seen any hate, some piss taking, a lot of disappointment. For example I don't see anyone sticking up for Mario in his thread, Glen Johnson in his, Joe Allen, Lovren. Brendan is just getting some of the apathy and disappointment many fans feel.

Let's see what next season brings.

To be fair that documentary he took part in set him up for a world of piss taking and he really has to take it on the chin.

Wasn't that filmed before he even managed a game for us?

Right at the start of his first summer in charge.

Isn't that in part where the Brentan stuff came from?

Exactly. Whether he's successful with us or not he's handed everyone a pocket full of bullets to take pot-shots at him.

I really don't like the man. I posted a while back that I thought I might actually hate him, but now the dust has settled I don't hate him. I do think he's an incompetent chancer and loser and I wish he wasn't our manager. I'm not going to change my opinion of him just because he hasn't been sacked.

But, I'd rather we were successful and Rodgers made me look like a massive tit than watch him fail. Club comes first.

He didn't choose to take part in that, he essentially had no choice.

He had limited experience and because of that our rivals jumped on every minute detail to have a go. Same as all that bull**** when people compared Rodgers to Shankly because he had us on a title charge. Akin to comparing Marcus Stewart to Jimmy Greaves when he had a good season at Ipswich.

People should have kept their powder dry and heralded him when he proved himself to be consistently excellent. In all honesty I don't think we have moved past that first season of hiring him. He looks a promising manager who lacks experience.

But I underline my first points. He took a massive job and as such can't complain about any pressure or stick since he hasn't done a good enough job. But he didn't do anything away from football that should have highlighted anything.
                Forwards.......

He's not a chancer and he's clearly talented. He is however lacking in experience and has made too many mistakes. It was an interesting appointment but it was a huge and foolish gamble.

When you appoint a manager it's not like signing a player. You can't drop them if they're underperforming and you can't loan them out for them to gain experience.

What we needed to do was make a solid appointment with experience of winning at the very top. We didn't do that, but I guess with every season that goes on, the better Rodgers will get.

Given the right players he's proven he can bring success. But he has to be given top quality.

Yeah, I'll agree with that. I've never taken to him and have long suspected him to be a Walter Mitty type character But really it doesn't matter what I think, unfortunately I don't see my opinion of him changing win, lose or draw. That said, here's hoping he can add something of substance to his patter, I have a feeling next season is going to be volatile.

Isn't it in part his own fault that he doesn't have players of the necessary quality at the club?

No. I would say that fault is totally with the owners if they're not willing to pay top wages. Eliminate all those players and you're trying to get lucky. Players who will kick on. We are competing with Spurs and have been for a few years now. Same transfer targets etc.

Every decent player we want turns us down because we won't pay the money. Now we are where we are we would have to overpay and we won't do that.

I think our secondary failure though is a mixed blame. But it'll always be up and down. Look at Newcastle, everyone wanted Graham Carr when he got lucky with a few, then last season it didn't work out and they nearly went down..

It was his choice to act like a bit of a tit. I think he's a decent manager who is still learning (whether he is right for us is a different matter of course...) but you can't say he doesn't deserve to be taken the piss out of after that. Hopefully we'll be laughing at him as he wins us something next year.

Sorry, but I dare say if cameras were on us for a period of time we'd look like morons. And I guarantee if he'd have arrived with a few titles everyone would have said how clever he was in the videos.

I'm not gonna get too hung up. He gets paid lots of money and knew what he was walking into. If you're top class you'll be a legend at this club and get more love than at any other club. But fail and you'll get as much stick as anywhere else. In fact, I'd say we have the most unrealistic level of expectation in the whole country.

If we did we'd be mocked for it, and deservedly so. Although I'd like to think that only a tiny proportion of us would do that envelope bollocks. I think he can be a bit of a knob and hope he brings us success.
