Yes, we went 13 league games unbeaten over 3 months and gathered 33 points, 2.53 points per game. I know you've tried to dismiss the run as a fluke or say certain results dont count as Southampton put us under pressure for 5 minutes in each half bla bla bla but the wins did actually happen.

A fairer criticism would be good runs don't mean much if you spend the rest of the season playing ****, I dont know why you keep trying to dismiss that actual good run though as if it never happened.

I enjoyed the football when we finished 2nd, but I always had this sneaking feeling it was a year when all the stars aligned

He clearly has the ability to turn us into a streaky team however we need a consistent team one that picks up results week after week rather than in batches in-between a run of poor results.

It is possible to play ****e yet still pop up with a few goals tho, which sadly is the story with the last few months of Gerrard'd illustrious career with us.

I'm not a Gerrard hater, far from it, but it was plain to see that he was a passenger in a lot of games this season.

I only post on this forum so not sure my getting behind Rodgers (or not) really makes all that much of a difference. I am massively sceptical he can get the job done, and if I am being honest will be surprised to see him last past Christmas, I think he was found out last season, and ended up showing that, bottom line, he didn't have the ability to navigate, coach and direct us to a succesful end of season.

We shall see, hopefully all you guys that want him given a second chance can go on to be proven right. I reserve my right to remain highly dubious.

Going to stay out of this thread from now on as I’m bored of going round in circles & typing/reading the same posts over & over

Rodgers stock has fallen big time & I very much doubt he’ll manage to get us to the heights of two seasons ago again but I hope he does

Bottom line is I want our manager to do well as it means our team is doing well & that's all that concerns me – whoever is in charge

Roll on start of next season; hopefully by then I may have built up enough enthusiasm to give a f*** again!

That is a valid criticism for a player if other members of the team are scoring goals. When the only other source of goals is the shots Coutinho takes from the edge of the box, then it is harsh to criticize the goalscorer for his all round play.

I dont think anyone said that last season but that does not mean it is wrong. Now that we have three seasons to look at, is last season an anomaly driven by Suarez or is the first and third season a more accurate reflection of Rodgers is a valid doubt to have.

I have a feeling that brendan rodgers will continue as the manager for now. The unavailability of klopp and ancelotti left us with no choice but to keep him on.

however, all that will change in due course and if we're 7th in the league and already 10 points off the 4th place then its a possibility that someone else will replace rodgers.

He's the manager for now but may not be come xmas.

Theres lots of other players who have been passengers yet contributed nothing
