Our signings have looked a bit **** so far alright. Some may take time to adjust/improve or whatever but they better do it sooner rather than later or we'll be way behind in the league and playing Thursday night football.

Throw this out there because I think it's worth a try now , but how about swapping Henderson's role with Gerard for a game. Think they've both got the attributes to do this.

Gerrard doesn't have the legs to play there. Henderson potentially could play Gerrard's position I think, but his energy would be wasted there really.

Yep, Hendo would be completely curtailed while Gerrard would walk around when he should be sprinting around. Wouldn't work.

100%. I don't get it. Being so deep negates almost all of his strengths. Hodgson does it with him in the England side but I can't believe Rodgers has taken to it as well.

Id like us to have a system and stick with it. 442 diamond served us well last year and was out best performance v spurs this season. once sturridge got injured why not go with two of balotelli/lambert/borini?

I disagree with the Gerard doesn't have the legs theory. He doesn't have the mobility/agility he used to. He can still get up and down the pitch though.

And it's not like hendersons contributing a significant amount to our attack anyway.

i agree. Also, people seem to think that because "Gerrard doesnt have the legs anymore" that holding midfield is the position for him - to be honest, with the attacking way we play - then this is probably the most important position to have pace and stamina.

I would have liked us to sign a specialist defensive midfielder and rotate gerrard with Joe Allen / Henderson / Coutinho.....
