I've mentioned the same to mates recently, it all feels very unusual. A wall of silence as you say. It may well end up being nothing major but it's bizarre how the club seem to have decided to cut the fans completely out of the loop.

Hopefully we'll find out what's gone on one day anyway.

Morning lads, Pablo reminded me that I hadn't been on in, um, forever but if there's anything to make me return like a sexy Batman it's a good conspiracy theory about us having replaced our manager/staff and managed to not tell a soul.

Agree with the Shagginator though - it's far too quiet, we normally issue a press conference every time a player farts so for two members of staff to have been replaced and no formal statement to be made is so unusual... but perhaps it's because it isn't the last dismissal to be made?

Maybe Fsg have told Brendan to shut the **** up and leave all media talk to the club if and when it needs to be made.But is rather weird especially after the signings of Milner and Ings and the sacking of Rodgers homies marsh and pascoe

Sacking two members of the coaching staff alone is so weird, as I'm sure has already been said countless times - they come as a unit so if you can one you can them all.

I'm not sure that really makes sense though. If some people are doing their job and others aren't then surely changing those felt to not be pulling their weight makes sense. To me there are a lot of traditions that people seem to feel have a moral or logical weight in football that don't make a great deal of sense.

I think it is a real issue that Rodgers had such a small staff (by choice it appears). Making a few changes which happens a lot at clubs (think of Dalglish bringing in Clarke for Lee or Fergusson constantly altering assistants and first team coaches) seems a lot more serious when that is a higher %age of the coaching staff.

Everyone seems to be pointing at Klopp because he is free and fits the FSG model. However, lets be totally honest, the FSG model hasn't exactly given us all a hard on has it? Obviously Markovic, Moreno, Emre Can, Origi, Ibe might all develop into £50m players and we are then cooking on gas - but for me i find the whole administration of the club has a big cost-cutting feel to the whole thing. The contract negotiations with Jordan Henderson was a perfect example of this. I would compare Henderson to Dirk Kuyt under Rafa - a good pro, a hard working player and perhaps undervalued in the team because better players take all the glory - but you miss him big time when he isn't there. A 7½ out of 10 pretty much every week. However, it shouldnt have taken long to get him signed. Not at all. Under Rafa / Parry that would have been done and dusted and then Parry could feck off and go concentrate on ****ing up another transfer..... The way the club is being run now, they seem to know the cost of everything but the value of nothing!!

From various reports its not just those two. There have been changes in medical, sports science, scouting and data analytics too.

The only ones leaving the club that Rodgers personally brought in was Pascoe. All the rest remain in place and ones leaving are those who were already in positions when he arrived.

What worries me is sacking staff without seemingly having anyone lined up to come in. Surely you'd check what's out there before you go handing out p45s. We did the same when we sacked Kenny though, only started looking afterwards and then went through an interview process like it was an office job we had.

This is Liverpool Football Club, we will always attract applicants. If the ones present aren't good enough I think we can get away with sacking them in the knowledge we will attract better.

Players is a different scenario. And it's not like we haven't had the opportunity to improve there either. The are players out there that will improve us as there is members of staff.

It's just about bringing in the right ones. A vacancy isn't an issue.
