I think that Benteke was a mistake, I'm not writing him off. I think he'll do okay for us, but I'm not sure he's the type of player we should have gone for. He's painfully slow. Rodgers is pinning his future on Benteke, it's his team with his vision so he'll stand or fall by his choices.

“It’s clear how we want to work. I’m not one who chops and changes the philosophy – that’s something inherent in you. The idea and the philosophy is very clear on how we play. We want to be really creative – create opportunities to score goals while having a strong defensive organisation."
this is the philosophy of every team in the world - whats so unique about it.Sir Isaac Newton knew the universal law of karma - any action has its equal and opposite reaction.

I don't want us playing for knock downs which going by my previous post might sound a bit confusing, however we have pumped £32m in benteke and like it or not he is a target man. He'll never be a Sturridge or Suarez so we might as well play to his strengths other wise what was the point in signing him? We need to make the best of what we have but Rodgers doesn't even seem to be able to do that.
Hes banging on about implementing his philosophy into the team. He'ss had four seasons and every season his so called philosophys appears to change. He's a chancer who got the job by blagging it with his dodgy dossier and silver tongue.

I think regardless of the result the actual play will get him sacked. Devoid of anything resembling a progressive style. Indeed its regressive.
A sort of bad mid table approach to it where the manager tries to sneak out of a big game with the least embarrassing scoreline possible but failing anyway.
