Got a mate who's a cabbie. He picked up some fella earlier, who reckons he knows someone at the Academy, who's told him that Rodgers is set to become the Director of Football, and oversee both the senior and youth teams.
Like I say, probably bull****....

I disagree, it's a different skill set entirely. His background is youth coaching and he knows how it should be done having worked at the highest level of that. I think everyone in the game to a man is of the opinion that Rodgers is a progressive individual and I think he'd be great at overseeing the youth teams.

With regards to being a DOF for the first eleven - whilst I think his ideas on how the game should be played is something we as a club should embrace, I think much of that role is down to contacts within the game and being able to spot top players for knock down prices.

Not sure Brendan can do all that. But it would be interesting to see how that would unfold. Strangely, I wouldn't be totally against someone like Klopp coming in as manager with Rodgers being made DoF.

surley a DoF needs to have contacts in the game and like others have said i just don't see rodgers having that many in the game, a mate in work said a couple weeks back that his mate who in claims is pretty good with the info about the club (i have no idea if true or not) and i just thought i would pass this on claimed that it is houllier who is going to be DoF.anyway no idea if bull or not but what the hell thought i would just pass it on.
