The end of season review, which will determine Brendan Rodgers’ fate, won’t begin until next week at the earliest.

Rodgers was in London for Tuesday night’s League Managers’ Association dinner when he presented Bournemouth boss Eddie Howe with the Manager of the Year trophy.

The Northern Irishman has since gone overseas for a short holiday as he awaits extensive discussions with Fenway Sports Group’s Mike Gordon.

Who would attract what type of player better - the German or the Italian ?

I like the personalities of both managers.

They are clearly likeable guys and good for dressing room, however if we can gain any advantage this summer then that's going to be having a manager that can bring in or help attract that bit better player.
I really do not know which manager could or would be able to attract that better level to lfc at this time.

Okay, a stab in the dark here.

LFC are not happy with Rodgers but he could still remain if he does a good enough job convincing.

If he fails to convince (as seems likely) then we will hire either Klopp or Ancelotti. Carlo Ancelotti is waiting until June 3rd before he makes a decision on things and so he has to be considered favourite for the job at this point.

Then again....

Rodgers may already be safe. People ask why FSG haven't made a statement, could just be to keep up appearances. It doesn't look like a review if they announce his job is safe straight away.

Signings

People also point to the movement made on targets as proof Rodgers is staying. Is there proof? No one has signed yet. And even then, it could be that we have decided the next manager gets no say on incomings. They specify what's needed and the committee go and get them.

Klopp & Ancelotti both tend to favour 4231 these days, Benteke as an example is an ideal fit for that.
