Okay, a stab in the dark here.

LFC are not happy with Rodgers but he could still remain if he does a good enough job convincing.

If he fails to convince (as seems likely) then we will hire either Klopp or Ancelotti. Carlo Ancelotti is waiting until June 3rd before he makes a decision on things and so he has to be considered favourite for the job at this point.

Then again....

Rodgers may already be safe. People ask why FSG haven't made a statement, could just be to keep up appearances. It doesn't look like a review if they announce his job is safe straight away.

People also point to the movement made on targets as proof Rodgers is staying. Is there proof? No one has signed yet. And even then, it could be that we have decided the next manager gets no say on incomings. They specify what's needed and the committee go and get them.

Klopp & Ancelotti both tend to favour 4231 these days, Benteke as an example is an ideal fit for that.

My perfect scenario will be for Brendan to manage the academy and Rafa/Klopp to be first team manager. Brendan will be a top guy to train the youth.

His ego wouldn't take that step down, quite understandably too. If he was LFC through and through then maybe but I feel he has a lot he wants to prove and that he can become a very good manager. He's got Newcastle written all of him IMO

I don't really get people turning on Rodgers as nastily as they are. He's had an odd way of presenting himself from the off but he's clearly well liked by the players and by all accounts an excellent coach.

My feelings are that he has weaknesses - particularly as a defensive coach and in terms of transfers. I have a feeling he would be fine at that too if left to sign attacking players unencumbered but probably needs more help with defenders. There is something worrying about a manager of a top club wanting Lovren or Williams as defensive kingpins.

I've not turned on him but do think that the pressure on him is causing him to make rash decisions. He may be showing signs that the job is too big for him

To be honest other than a couple of posts mentioning his shines teeth I've mainly read good debate in here. It's drying up a bit, because nothing has really happened for a few days. I seem to recall the final days of Roy being fuelled by a fair bit more vitriol.
